EPR setting and waking while trying to fall asleep?

Post by jonny515 » Sat Feb 06, 2016 5:56 pm

I have the EPR set up at 3 I think. Could this be causing problems? I am waking up right as I fall asleep. I believe it's some kind of apnea or hypoxia. This has happened multiple times.
Have been looking at Sleepyhead, but not sure I am sleeping long enough to bother with it. But I'll post if you think it would be helpful. (Sleepyhead says I am sleeping something like 15 min in a 3 hour period. I don't think it really knows but that sounds right actually.

Yes, post something to look at, it can only help. Is your EPR at 3 because you have lots of trouble exhaling, or because..? Have you got an oximeter to put on for a night, or at least a while as you're falling asleep?

Jonny, whatever your settings are at the time you try to fall asleep may not be adequate. Couldn't say if it's the EPR or what. Back in the day I ran into that problem and the issue was my ramp. Do your pressure settings control your events the rest of the night? The good thing is you could make a small change and just see if it helps. Let us know how things go if you do.

Well I'll try changing it. Can't hurt.
@kteague: I don't really know re: pressure. I suspect not, but then again-- looking at the graph, I am not really sleeping long enough a night to tell what the heck is going on.

Will post a graph, info tomorrow. (Haven't done that imgur thing in awhile).
