resmed sleep pillow system

Post by tom6922 » Fri Feb 05, 2016 8:42 am

I currently use the Swift LT sleep pillow system. I am not happy with the way in which the sleep pillows are delivered to customers for use. What I am referring to is the fact that when I order supplies and request a medium pillow, I am sent a small, medium and large pillow in a sealed package. When I ask for 3 mediums in a package, I am told they are ONLY packaged in small, medium and large. They REFUSE to send 3 mediums in a package.

Am I missing something here, or am I to understand that suppliers are forcing us to purchase something we can not or do not use. In my case, it would be the small and large pillows?

I would like to start an exchange whereby c-pap users can send their unused pillows to other users who can use them, as long as they are in individually sealed bags.

See "the great pillow exchange" thread.

You might take your request (and prescription) to a different supplier.
Some of them appear to be retarded.

This is just the way products are done - it's the industry standard. By including all sizes in the same package they do not have to manufacture, stock, and distribute three different items. Distributors don't have to worry about not having the needed size in stock. Besides, if they sold them with only one size, you would STILL only get ONE set of pillows, not three, and they would charge the same amount anyway.

That's why there is the pillow exchange. But in most cases, the different pillow sizes are NOT individually sealed. But that doesn't matter, because there is soap and water.

I believe that you are wrong about that, out of curiosity, I checked three online suppliers and each one sold a single pillow for 19$.

My DME helps me out by opening the hermetically sealed package and removing the S and M pillows.

Poppi- your DME probably sells the extras they removed from your hermetically sealed bag. Tell them to leave all three sizes in your pkg, and then you can trade them on the Great Pillow Exchange or sell them yourself on Ebay,

or, they supply the single size, since those are available from resmed (otherwise, there wouldn't be order numbers for them, as listed above).
