Thank God my split night is coming up soon

Post by MrGrumpy » Thu Feb 04, 2016 9:04 pm

Then I can be done with this shit. Ive been treated with CPAP since 2007. Every time I have a problem, somehow I end up on this forum for some reason. Sooner or later, my problem gets fixed and I go away on my own. You people are a bunch of nuts!

LOSERS!

Im gonna be honest with you. Im at the point where I am actually HOPING I dont have sleep apnea anymore. That way I can discontinue CPAP, Ive not been benefiting from it much since after my tonsillectomy in spring 2013. If I get taken off CPAP, I have two choices. I can continue operating on my own forever, basically as I have four top of the line APAPs and so many hoses, masks, filters stashed I could last forever.

Or I could just quit and I know what will happen. My depression will quickly worsen. I will get real sick. And probably fall asleep at the wheel and crash my car and die. Insurance will be glad Im gone...no more of me and my high user insurance status.

I also thought about what I should do if I get taken off CPAP officially soon. "Youve lost a lot of weight, plus you had your tonsils out. You no longer have sleep apnea, here are the falsified records from your sleep study proving it. Not one single oxygen desat. Bye. Dont forget to make sure your insurance pays us for the sleep study, we get paid NO MATTER WHAT."

I could make them eat their words. Thought about having ECT (shock treatment). If I have even mild untreated sleep apnea while having ECT, they will brain damage me. Ive fucking had it with their shit. Im at the end of my rope. Told my primary care doc about a month back, "I cant take this shit anymore. Its been going on since spring 2013 and that dickhead holding himself out as a sleep specialist has done jack shit to fix my non restorative sleep problem. It used to be real good." He told me, "think positive, it will get better." Yeah...Ive heard that one before.

Fucking fed up with these medical people and all this bullshit.
Id be dead by now if I didn't use my CPAP gear every night.

We're the ones that are nuts?

Yes, it is standard practice for testing to be paid for regardless of whether it's normal or abnormal, be it a cat scan, blood work, or sleep study. Even people without any SDB, I've never heard of anyone ever having zero desats.

If that's the way you really feel...You can gracefully leave. You have continually criticized and have contributed nothing. (By the way...you certainly picked the right name)

Hmmm.... well.... I just don't think this is a good idea! You do sound disgusted and depressed. I haven't read all of your posts but I hope you are addressing the depression. I think you already know that unless you dampen down the depression, nothing will seem right or get better. Best to you.

zero desats (calling a desat below 88%) is *normal*... and typical. strap a recording oximeter on anybody that doesn't have SDB.

Anybody can quit cpap, any time; --like you can stop your meds, food, or water.
Most of us choose not to.

If you haven't figured it out in 9 years, what makes you think you ever will. Do you live with Enchanter? Sounds like you are related. Just one thing to watch out for, that doorknob when the door closes, but I'm betting you are safe, it will only hit air, no net. Jim

The level of detail and technical prowess I see in this thread regarding SBD equipment is beyond the norm that would be considered for OSA patients.

Im serious!

Whoa! A big potty mouth with no real logic or substance to each post. Plus, you have contemplated receiving brain damage to prove a point? Survival of the fittest at work.
