SleepWeaver Advance questions

Post by lindalrc » Sun Nov 29, 2015 10:17 am

I have been using my new SleepWeaver Advance fabric mask (bought from CPAP.COM) for about a week now and am getting good results plus it is more comfortable than my Activa LT with a gel-cushion mask. Think I am going to make the S-Weaver my primary mask. SO two questions. 1. What should be the replacement interval? Mfgr says 6 months. (Cost is not an issue for me because of insurance will cover future purchases.) 2. How often to clean? Mfgr package directions say every other day; mfgr web site says "as needed." I did the silicone mask 2 or 3 times a week because it made a big difference in leak rates. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I switched from the SW Advanced to the Élan years ago, but the same rules apply for me.
I like to replace the mask and headgear every 5-6 months since the Velcro seems to lose its grip by then, and the mask starts to be more prone to leaks.
Since I am such a germaphobe, I haven't determined the washing schedule yet because it seems to come after the replacement schedule for me.
Yes, if I drop food on the floor I follow the 5 second rule.

Bye the way you should look at the Élan next time. It is simply much more advanced than the advanced.

Whenever you need to.
It sounds smug, but everyone is different and cloth masks seem to make that more so.
I needed daily washing, but it took less time than brushing my teeth.
