Appreciation for the ResScan 5.5 download

Post by NewBMW » Sat Nov 28, 2015 7:17 pm

I have been on CPAP for five years now and have appreciated the details ResScan gives me regarding my APNEA. Recently, my machine was changed from an S9 to an AirCurve BiPap and the transition has not been smooth. It was handicapped because my ResScan software was outdated and did not cover the AirCurve; however, now that I got 5.5, I see the areas of difficulty and expect to better focus my treatment.

Thanks to CPAPTalk for this help.

I tried to get this software from ResMed but it says only for professionals.

How did you get it?

However, I don't really find rescan to be very user friendly. Sleepyhead is much easier to use and customize for your own reporting needs. Rescan is FDA approved for diagnosis and followup, and has some very handy printable reports that medical assistants can put in your chart and hand to the doctor, but, the user interface isn't very good, and you can get all the same info from sleapyhead.

After many hours of toil, I finally found it and downloaded and got it running. Lotsa superfluous stuff in it made for physicians but I 'spose the basic data is about the same in all.

That is an illegal download, by the way. Using it make us thieves and I really don't condone it.
I have had major thefts of my own intellectual property from the net, so I know what it feels llike to be a victim of internet hijacking.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I shouldn't have. After I found Sleepyhead, I uninstalled it but thanks for your concern.

I think these companies make enough money to compensate for this type of "loss". Also, paying the full price for the system should entitle you to full functionality.
