Re: CPAP Nap?

I rarely have time to stop and rest or watch TV during the day, but occasionally on a Saturday I will. If I fall asleep without my mask, it's very miserable when I wake up. Headache, often reflux, just generally feeling yucky. I love my Dreamwear mask because I can still wear my glasses and watch T...

Re: Should I worry about snoring with AHI < 1?

Try putting the machine on straight CPAP at 10 and check the results. A pressure of 16 is regarded as high. Thank you, but as Wulfman said, I started out at 10 and it wasn't controlling my apnea. I've settled on 16 after 6 months of slow tweaking to find out what worked for me. Advice much apprecia...

Re: Should I worry about snoring with AHI < 1?

Sorry for the late reply on this thread, folks - just want to say a big thank you to everyone! Wulfman: You'll be happy to note I eventually settled at a fixed pressure. I'm now at 16, and my AHI is <1 every night. Snore numbers fluctuate a little, but that's mostly due to congestion issues (just s...

Re: Buying, set-up. No medical diagnosis. On my own.

There's a ton of advice and instruction on this forum. I did everything on my own, too, and I would never have been able to figure out how to get the right machine settings without this place. The 'Pugsy's Pointers' thread is a fantastic resource. Best of luck!

Re: THE GREAT PILLOW EXCHANGE

Hi, all - Just got a new Dreamwear mask from a new supplier, and they had the whole fit pack. So if anyone needs a medium, medium wide, or large Dreamwear cushion, let me know. If you've got a small to trade, great - otherwise, you can just have your chosen size. I'd rather they be put to use than j...

Re: Vegetarian Diets More Harmful to Environment

I am against animal cruelty also, but vegetables don't have it easy either. Yesterday I was at the store, buying cabbage for my vegetable soup, I looked at them all, they had been raised in conditions so crowded, the hair had been rubbed off each head. Jim Not to mention the fact that all the cabba...

Re: Vegetarian Diets More Harmful to Environment

Here is an article about hypocritical voters destroying the egg industry in CA - http://modernfarmer.com/2013/06/voting-one-way-eating-another/ In the grocery store, "humanely raised" is a meaningless term. Yes, I suppose "cage free" or "free-range" is better than battery farming, but not by much. ...

Re: Resmed Warning for eBayers?

Agreements were reached banning any one from saying what was in the agreements, but it leaked that you had to say you did wrong and if you ever did it again you were on the hook for $1M. oh and you had to send them the card reader. so all this talk about rights and just hanging in there is all fine...

Yep, mine has both a clear elbow and a white quick-connector piece that stays in the hose and snaps onto the elbow. Hopefully the person you got it from will be able to find the piece for you!

Re: Just amazed

Considering how my suffering has been reduced, I cannot fathom how much misery people with the high numbers must have felt before treatment; and I especially cannot comprehend some people's resistance to treatment. After my AHI has come from 13 down to about 1, my life is completely different with ...
