Change for the better after 3 months

Post by Violet West » Thu May 26, 2016 3:13 pm

I'm happy to report I'm doing well on the therapy after 3 months and things have improved. I feel more alert and "clearer" -- if that makes sense.

Although I didn't think I had sleep problems before (heart problems, yes; sleep problems, no) I've noticed lately I need less sleep than the 8-9 hours I was wanting before, and wake up more easily.

Primary doc says all my numbers have gone down and are good; i.e., blood pressure stabilized, blood sugar and cholesterol lower.

Still waking up at least once during the night and have to fiddle with the nasal pillows, but it's not too bad. Fewer middle of the night pees and night sweats also.

Have downloaded the Sleephead software, but have not actually looked at my data on it yet. Will work on that.

So -- yay!

What does your machine display say your AHI and leak level have been running?

From 1 to 5. I don't think I've seen it above 5. Happy no leak face.

It's always encouraging to see some rewards for our efforts. Hope you continue to see rewards.

Great news! If the nasal pillows bug you, try a nasal mask. They are not that intrusive (to me).
