Noobie question regarding sleepyhead

Post by jetsfan613 » Tue Nov 24, 2015 7:41 pm

Just started CPAP last month and still learning. I have a Dreamstation machine that has e-reporting and a SD card. Is this machine compatible with Sleepyhead software?

At this point SleepyHead is not yet compatible with the new Respironics Dream Station machines.
Unknown time frame for Mark to update SleepyHead.
Unfortunately at this time I am not even able to find a Respironics software version that is compatible with these new machines. I thought maybe the most recent version of Encore Pro would maybe work because it was released shortly after the release of the Dream Station but I had someone try it with their DreamStation last night and it wouldn't work. Kept saying a "corrupted" card which was the same error message that I got with an older version of the Encore software.

Eventually we will have some software that will work though. So keep checking back.
Right now you have what SleepMapper shows online which is limited but it is what it is.

I have been using the DreamMapper software, but wanted to get more info on my apneas. My AHI for the past 2 weeks is 5.7 mostly stemming from obstructed apneas.

Bummer. What version number of Encore Pro did you try? Just so we know what version we might be looking for.

There is also a new Dorma Series of CPAP machines. They seem to be near bricks in terms of data, but they do collect SOME data.

Version 2.17.xx which is newer than my prior version of 2.13.xx
I haven't been able to get 2.17 to install over my old 2.13 version to test it but someone with a new DreamStation tried 2.17 the other night and it wouldn't work for her. She got the same "corrupt SD card" message that I got when I tried Encore Basic with it. I imagine there is a newer Basic version out there but I haven't been able to find it.
If anyone has a newer than 2.4 Encore Basic I would appreciate them sharing it with me.
I know you frequent the other forum where we can find a lot of these programs and I don't have time so if you hear of something newer that works...please let me know.

No such luck over there, either.

I sure hope they haven't abandoned Encore and put it all into something that's even harder for us to get hold of, like a new program or something that's online only. Encore has always been rather brain damaged and Philips seems to think nobody, including doctors, needs to look at anything more detailed than nightly averages.
