Great! Really glad that it fixed your machine too. It sounded like the same problem I had. What you can't see without removing the circuit board is that right next to that screw hole on the other side are the pressure sensors and so if the board can lift up when you breath into the machine, the board can lift up off the sensors and cause the problems you saw. Some idiot thought it wasn't needed and had manufacturing leave the screw out.

If you haven't already, please go to the equipment section of your profile and fill in your equipment. I almost didn't reply to your post because I wasn't sure what machine you had. The profile entry makes it much easier.

Its strange. I have it selected but it doesn't show up. I changed to another machine and then it appeared. But then when I change it back to the PR 550 auto, it disappears again. In fact, I cant seem to find anyone with a working PR1 50 reference in their equipment profile.

I'm glad it was able to help you. I've done one night so far without any problems. Will you please return and report your results as well?
I just checked my card and went the whole night with no shut offs. I will post again here in about 3 or 4 weeks to make sure that it doesn't act up again.

Thanks again!

Sometimes there are problems with certain machines in the profiles. I don't know if it's because they are considered too old, or what.

As a workaround, you could add your machine make and model to the additional comments section of your profile and that will get it to show up in every post. I put my sleep study results in this area.

Well, I said I would report back after 3 or 4 weeks. My problems have started up again about 3 or 4 nights ago. Looks like I will have to tear it apart and dig a little deeper.

Thank you all so much. Bought some #8 1/2 inch metal screws and some rubber washers M3862 and I fixed both of my machines. Tested both and they are 100%. I have been on the recall list for 5 years they must hope I’ll die before they have to send me a new machine.
