Work around for lack of humidification while on travel

Post by bill-e » Thu Nov 19, 2015 10:17 am

My wife was complaining that my computer room was messy so I cleaned it up this past weekend and in the process of doing that I threw out a box of my Z1 HME's. Noticed them missing when I went to get one for my trip this week....crap! I cant sleep without humidification.

So what I've been doing is running the shower in my hotel room for about 10 minutes before I go to bed, enough so that I can see condensation begin to build up on the room mirror.

That provides enough humidification for me to make it through the night without using an HME.

Also, when I went to order some more HME's from Direct Home Medical they had a generic one which liiked just like the Z1 HME at a cost of only $3.25 each when bought in quantity 8. I'll let you know how those work once I use them.

Why don't you bring your humidifier with you? Does the hme work good for you?
