Re: First Use of Heated Hose
I started CPAP five years ago this month and had so much rain out I put my machine on the floor. My doctor prescribed an heated hose and now I couldn't live without it. I adjust it as needed. I had the flu and a fever once and turned the temp down which cooled me enough to sleep better. I use higher...

Re: Side Sleeper pillows?
I use a chopped latex foam pillow or a pin core soft molded latex foam. I you are not allergic to latex you might try one. I find them quite comfortable and did before CPAP.

Re: CBD (from cannabis) oil and deep sleep
Buy from someone who sells medical Marijuana. There are many varieties bred for different purposes. Google for varieties. Amazon has lots of books. Many made from hemp for sale on line/Amazon. Its legal here in Washington state so we have shops all over. I'm 75 and many of my friends use it for pain...

Question about wifi and cellular uses in Dreamstation
I have decided on a Dreamstation Auto for my new machine. I am confused about the WiFi or cellular choices for the modem. My sleep doctor doesn't require anything sent to him or a DME at this point. I saw him recently and he said to call for a prescription for a new machine when I decided what I wan...

Re: Plastic tubing or silicone tubing?
I checked the price and one tube is just under $30.00 with free shipping. I expect the ones used in hospitals are from china. I like heat though but but would be good in warm weather.

Re: Pressure Sore and Moleskin: What next?
I was given a wisp with my machine and couldn't deal with the plastic on my face and the sores and marks. I read about the Circadience cloth mask and ordered an Advance nasal mask. I have used them ever since. Quite a few different styles and sizes. I highly recommend them. Never registered a large ...

Re: anxiety to masks and the forced air
I was worried sick before my first test. I was left alone a few minutes with mask in hand and machine next to me. I turned the machine on and air blew in my face like a storm. I put the nasal mask over my nose and felt nothing, just easy to breathe air. I wont ride in a convertible but the air throu...

Re: Aaaaand again: newbie struggles topic
I had similar problems with the Wisp mask. Discovered that plastic type masks caused irritation. I switched to a Circadiance soft cloth mask and have been using them for nearly five years. I too am a side sleeper and move around a lot.

Re: Cpap and essential oil
Essential oils can dissolve plastic and a direct path to the lungs is dangerous as most replies have said. The inside of your hose will be ruined over a short time and become a sticky mess. Use oils outside the machine only.

Trick for tender spot under nose.
I use a Circadiance Advance cloth mask, never any problems. Just recovering from several weeks of Type A influenza which was hard on my nose because of slow drip. I finally started putting a protective lip protector in a tube under my nose but it messed up my mask. I tried tearing a thin strip of TP...

Simplistic nose protection.
Just recovering from a 2 week bout of type A Influenza. I use a Circadiance Advance cloth mask. Never any irritation. This flu though gave me a terrible scabby area under my nostrils. As I was putting on a lip protector for my cracked lips then under my nose. I knew it would make a mess of my mask s...

Re: Burning Question.....
I have a friend who is a hairdresser. She has a terrible time cutting "CPAP" Hair. I know this because she cuts my CPAP hair. Men's hair is the worst. I guess that guys are harder because the hair is shorter and it does the ridge thing. Mine at a shortish Woman's style is easier. I get bizarre parts...
