Just got my Modernist Cuisine at Home and love it.
Next I'm going to try to replicate the MC striped omelet.

I was ambitious today. Green peppers have been wandering in from the garden.
{{{death wish?}}}
I ate one raw--yummy! Seven left! Nope, that's my limit.
So I made stuffed peppers.
Too much filling, so the excess went into the freezer until more depressed peppers appear.

Well Turkey day is around the corner.
I have most of my food stuff here in the house but I always forget something.
Tonight I am making the homemade Irish Creme.....tomorrow is bakding day....banna nut bread that is to die for...then Wed pecan and pumpkin pie.....and Wed deviled eggs.

Anyone have a good recipe for deviled eggs...I like mustard and pickels in mine.
SPeak up....need to surprise the hubby who eats the deviled eggs until he makes himself sick.
Turkey & cornbred dressing...mashed potatoes...green been casserole with french onions on top...squash cassarol .Home made yeast rolls for bread...cranberry jelly.
Pecan Pie and pumpkin pie both homemeade.

Anything else I need to plan for?n I want to do something special....going to have about 15 people.
Wanted to do something unusual and special...I neeed ideas.

Anybody have any LCHF/diabetes-friendly recipes they'd be willing to share ? One for cannellini beans would be great.

Just got a new electric pressure cooker.
First, I made kholodets (jellied pork hocks)
Today, it was beef stew. Melt in the mouth, nice sauce.

Setting the vacuum to 29+ inches, and putting a slice of watermelon, honeydew, or cantaloupe melon, and the end result is a compressed melon slice that is translucent and has enhanced flavor. Mixing various melons together makes a nice fruit salad.
JD, I have a SousVide (actually, the small commercial unit then a much larger homemade for family gatherings) and a Vac Master (love them both). I like to take fresh mangos cut into slices, I place these in the bag, add some Morin mango puree (sometimes use passion fruit Puree) a shot or two of good tequila (you need the chamber vac so it doesn't suck the tequila back out) and then run to a deep vacuum the way you do - always a hit at parties.

Eat what you want and adjust insulin accordingly. Well, not really, no, yea I guess really that is what I do.

I'm not to the insulin dependency stage yet, and I'd really rather not ever get there either, if I can avoid it through a tailored diet.

Any recipe for beans can be used. They can be substituted for each other with no problem. Avoid recipes that require sweetener and pasta. If you make chilli watch out for commercial tomato sauces - they put lots of sweetener in many of them.

Any recipe I have posted will be low in sugar and gluten free. I have been cooking diabetic friendly food for over 40 years when my mother, my uncle developed type II and my grandmother died from it.

I don't generally eat beans because they are pretty high in starch and raise my blood sugar (yeah, despite the fiber). But I have a huge collection of recipes and sources for LCHF, so if there's anything in particular you're looking for ...

I generally try to eat real food, so I don't collect a lot of "low carb fake X" recipes, though.
