Re: Airsense 10 is 8 years old, keep using it?
i see you got another one. i was just going to say that i'd be more concerned with run hours. not if you've been using it daily for 8 years, it probably had a good amount of "miles" on it. rough math would be 17.5 k hours at 6 hours a night. i think they rate the machines at 20k hours. maybe a few ...

Re: Airsense 10 is 8 years old, keep using it?
Since it's on sale again (but not as good as the $208 price others got last month) I ordered it late last week and should have it this coming week. I'll use it as my primary and keep my old one as a backup.

Re: Airsense 10 is 8 years old, keep using it?
Your 8 year old machine is not going to last forever. Could last a week, could last another 8. But you need to ask yourself, how dependant are you on using it every night? If it doesn't startup, oh let's say Dec 22, how well are you going to make out without the long Christmas weekend? I have my tr...

Re: Airsense 10 is 8 years old, keep using it?
The Airsense 10 was recently on sale for $399 at cpap.com ... I was debating buying one just to have as a backup. I didn't, as I think my 8+ year old machine is still working fine. Wonder if I should have. I'm cheap, as my high deductible insurance is crap!

Airsense 10 is 8 years old, keep using it?
My Airsense 10 is about 8 years old now. As far as I know, it's still working fine. I think. I've had no snoring reports from my wife, and my AHI is still low as reported by the machine. As I'm on a high deductible health insurance plan, going through insurance doesn't help me at all unless I meet m...

Re: HDM Z1 CPAP with a Fault 21, anyone know anything about this?
I was able to get a discount on a refurbished Z2 and paid $245 for it, a lot cheaper than brand new. I only use it while travelling, so it gets less than 2 months of use per year, and size was important to me. I've had the Z2 for about a year now and hope it lasts longer than the Z1.

Re: HDM Z1 Have a fault 33 code. Anyone know how to fix it?
I generally don't use my Z1 very often, except when I'm travelling on an airplane where I want to minimize my belongings, or when I'm gone just a few nights. I'll usually pack up my regular CPAP as I find it works better than the Z1, but the Z1 size is really great. I was on a weekend away geocachin...

I came here to ask the same thing. Not that I use that app/site much anyway.

Re: Z1 vs airmini for travel
They don't have humidifiers. Can you get by without that? Try using your machine with no humidity before you decide. I have the Dreamstation GO with battery travel machine. Very handy when the power goes out. But I miss the humidifier. I've never run without the humidifier in my Airsense 10. I'm no...

Re: Z1 vs airmini for travel
Have you considered the Transcend? Or the Respironics mini? Yeah, more choices--but one might be a good compromise. I had looked at both, and figured the respironics mini was about the same cost/size as the airmini, and the transcend seemed about the same cost but a little bigger than the Z1, and e...

Z1 vs airmini for travel
I don't normally bring my CPAP machine while traveling, as my doctor said he wasn't too concerned if I didn't use it a few nights as my apnea is low. But looking for a machine anyway for travel. Any thoughts on the pros and cons of the Z1 vs airmini for occasional travel use. The Z1 is a few hundred...

Re: Buying from a DME vs cpap.com
Do your homework...COMPARE PRICES !!!! Easier said than done! When calling the insurance, the provider, the DME and trying to get price, they would only give me an estimate. Well screw that. This isn't rocket scientist ... forgetting about my deductible, what would it cost me if I hadn't met my ded...

Re: So what is considered the Rolls Royce of CPAP Machines
How can you not know if you are renting or owning? Seriously? I can understand the original poster's comment. For those of us not used to navigating our insurance, it's confusing. I am still confused over Cigna (my insurance) vs Carecentrix vs American Home Patient. Nobody could give me a clear und...

Buying from a DME vs cpap.com
On cpap.com it's nice ... you can see the masks and supplies, and a novel thing like price. I've only bought my supplies from cpap.com because it's easy and relatively affordable. Since I started therapy about a year ago, I get monthly calls from American Home Patient, which is where my insurance (C...
