It would help if you'd mention the name & model.

Sounds like it is broken.

Since you didn't bother to tell us what make or model it is..........
Just use it without heat........"passover" mode. You may actually like it. I haven't used heated humidity since a couple nights after I started therapy........and turned it off completely.

Then, it's probably at least 7 years old ( the .pdf provider manual I have is dated 2008 ), so it could be almost anything, but I'm leaning toward "broken" (worn out). And, the correct HH unit should be the H4i.

Depending on your location and whether you have a backup/spare, you could look for a replacement (seems to be lots of them available on the Internet), continue to use it as a "passover" humidifier (cool water), or see about sending to a place like http://www.acbio.com and see if they can determine whether it's broken/worn out or fixable. They have several locations around the eastern half of the U.S.

It may even be an internal electrical problem in the CPAP itself that isn't getting the "juice" to the HH unit.

There are also some very good deals on newer CPAP units and the costs may not be all that different from buying a replacement HH.

You're looking at over $200 for a new replacement unit........IF that's the problem.
