Newbie with readings:question

Post by TAMHALE53 » Wed Oct 07, 2015 6:51 pm

Question...have been on cpap 2.5 weeks. Adjusting well, feeling life improvements. 2 nights ago, I actually had DREAMS (can't remember the last time that happened). I felt fantastic all day. My machine said my AHI was 1.1, 90percent pressure was 8, 0 leaks. 6.5 hours of sleep. This morning I woke up feeling "ok", but not great. My AHI was 3.0, 90 percent pressure was 11, 0 leaks, and 6.5 hours of sleep. Why would I feel such a difference when even the second day numbers were good?

We don't sleep the same each night even if we sleep the same number of hours.
Maybe we wake more often one night than another night. Maybe we are on our backs more one night than another and maybe that makes our OSA a little worse so maybe we need a little more pressure.
Could be any number of reasons that are totally unrelated to OSA or cpap therapy.
One of my "best" "miracle" "OMG I feel awesome" days was following a night with AHI of 10.4. Go figure that one.

It's not all about the numbers. It's about any number of things that affect our sleep quality.
There's going to be good days and bad days....even now after over 6 years of this therapy I still see a considerable difference sometimes and my AHI now is almost always under 1.0.
