Is there a date glitch on the forum?

Post by kteague » Wed Oct 07, 2015 11:39 am

Just noticed a post I replied to is showing as being the most recent thread (top) with my comment being the last one. Thing is, there are others posted after me. ??????
EDIT: When this topic posted things had corrected. Odd. Maybe just a momentary thing.

If the time of your post is fairly recent, it might be caching in your web browser. Your web browser "caches" information and will redisplay the data from the last time you looked at a page rather than reload the data over the internet. Magic is used to make sure it displays the right information, but sometimes it ends up displaying the old stuff.

Ctrl-F5 may make it reload everything from the server, but because of various cases where the computer tries to get "smart," sometimes, it's a real bear to get the current version of the page.
