Christine; I intentionally baited the SoClean fans, knowing it would divert the thread.

A company using scare tactics to sell their sanitizer or a stranger with an app, or a bell, etc.
All lusting for riches from the sick. Dollar signs in their eyes.
I can't deliver a boot to the head, so I do what I can.

I am not a SoClean fan, tried it and returned it. I do get annoyed with people who do not know what they are talking about saying it doesn't work, not needed, most likely, to say it doesn't work, well you are talking out your butt because you have no idea what you are talking about.

I think it is accepted here. Maybe even encouraged.

FlightCo, you may be the all time expert in cleaning, but there are people here who've been in and around Cpap forever, and to disparage their knowledge is not a good idea. Thousands and thousands of people use Cpap safely every night without needing the kind of sterilization you suggest and no one here is 'selling' anything.

If it did the what it was supposed to, I think you would have kept it.

Seems like people like to jump in at the end and not read the previous posts; if you had you would have a better idea of what you are commenting on and why I returned it.

Yeah whatever; I have hesitated to give any advice because I am new to Cpap and so many here, you included, know so much more than me. I saw unsubstantiated comments being made about the SoClean and thought I would chime in since this is an arena where I have decades of expertise (not on Ozone, sterilization in general, but Ozone for the past 5 years). I was only trying to be helpful since people like you were talking out their ass not having a clue what you are speaking about, except and I agree, that the device is not necessary. So I say something you disagree with (by the way, I am right and you are wrong and I have evidence to back up what I say, you have nothing) and the warts come out of the chunky frog.

I am not the first person your rudeness has chased off and I am sure I won't be the last, but put another notch on your bad self because once this is sent, I am signing off Cpaptalk for good. The other day I said thank you and you were one of those I was directing my thanks to; however, life is to short to read or participate in this kind of bull shit.

The product COULD actually be effective, but the scare tactics ads are so over the top,
that I would advise anyone to steer clear.
A good product does not need such skulduggery to sell.
Years ago, we had a friend who sold (brand name withheld) fire alarms, and he
asked to rehearse his sales pitch for us. UGGGGGLY! Horrid high pressure scare tactics.
These stunts are so nasty, the perps ought to be tarred and feathered.

Flightco

Did you ever test the tank and hose for infection before it went thru the soclean? I'm not trying to berate the product, just curious as to how infected the tank and hose can get. I understand the mask being filled with germs, but wonder about the tank and hose. I have heard of slime molds growing in the tank, even using distilled water. How dangerous are these to our health?

Of course we only read the last page of posts, if we read the whole post, we would never get to t h e current page of the POLL, and we wouldn't be able to get to the next important POLL. Anyway we have come to learn all the important comments are on the last page, we hill else would people still be commenting on something that has been answered dozens if times on each page. Jim

Hello All,

Thank you again for the replies I definitely see both sides

I am not trying to become rich of this I am actually working to make it almost free

As far as making money of others sickness I also suffer from OSA which is why I came up with the need
I have a resmed S9 elite which is a very popular model where I live ( Toronto Canada) and I can tell you this machine doesnt have an alarm to let you know the mast has slipped off

I have also been working with other CPAP users to focus on what matters most

Also I see the needs of others by working with local CPAP retailers and sleep labs in the Toronto area who wish that they could afford a CPAP that measures their sleep patterns and provides feedback on therapy much like the resmed's and other models do however some cannot afford these features I am also working to provide these features as a universal addon which will be as low cost as possible

Features such as sleep tracking and snore detection will be built in

Again I am trying to make these features available to everyone that may not be able to afford it via a much more expenive CPAP machine instead for a low cost they can attach a device that provides all of these features and more

I do appreciate all your comments and please keep them coming
Have a great day !

personally I would read up on the issued patents before investing time and money to duplicate what is already offered. I would be money that every feature of every machine is patented.
Sleeping MUCH better now
