GrantT, Another vote for the Bayer Contour Next USB http://www.bayercontour.com/Blood-Glucose-Monitoring/NEXTProducts/CONTOUR-Next-USB-Meter . Test strips via Amazon are $24 for 100 strips. Give this a look http://www.diabetesforecast.org/2014/Jan/images/jan14-blood-glucose-meters.pdf . It lists the...

Recommend a Diabetes forum?
Can anyone recommend a good Diabetes forum? Specifically a Type 2 Diabetes forum. Just got the news today that I crossed the line i've danced around for a long time. I feel as overwhelmed with this as I did when I first came here seeking an understanding of OSA / xPAP over two years ago. Any help is...

Another vote for Craig's List. About a year ago, I picked up an under 70 hour Phippips Respironics System One Auto-CPAP (model DS550HS) with heated humidifier, hose, 2 masks, for $175 shipped from Las Vegas to Virginia. Most people selling xPAP machines on CraigsList do not know what they are sellin...

Re: Commercially available Hose Hangers - Which is best?
2nd vote for the Hose Buddy - https://www.cpap.com/productpage/HoseBuddy-CPAP-Hose-Suspension-System.html I bought mine two years ago and couldn't be happier with it. It is super strong and made in the USA. Using steel from the USA and skilled manufacturing in North Carolina, HoseBuddy Systems provi...

Could go either way: https://www.craigslist.org/about/prohibited "prescription drugs, medical devices; controlled substances and related items".LSAT wrote: There is no medical equipment ban at Craigslist. CPAPs are listed there all the time.

Re: It seems Resmed is preffered over Respironics
In my opinion this is like a Ford vs Chevy, Toyota vs Honda argument. It all comes down to which one you like, which one has the features you require, and which one your preferred sleep doc is prescribing. I was prescribed a PR System One so that's what I've always used. I purchased a PR System One ...

Re: How to use that Cpap warranty
Something else to consider, I believe Phillips Respironics does not deal directly with consumers for warranty issues. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't warranty issues are handled through the DME provider. They are the ones who send your machine in for repair. So if your machine does "break" how wo...

Perhaps I misread the specs of version 2.1.

Looking for EncoreViewer 2.1 for x64 Windows 7
Hello All,
I'm looking for any help in locating EncoreViewer 2.1 for x64 Windows 7. I know you can get EncoreViewer 2.0 to run on the x64 windows 7 platform but would like to try the 2.1 version.
Thanks,
Chris

2 years on the hose - Thanks cpaptalk.com
All, I recently hit my two years on the hose and just wanted to say thanks to all the forum members here at cpaptalk.com for sharing information/ideas/stories/strategies/tips/tricks/product reviews/etc. This was the first site I found after I picked up my machine and began therapy. You all have help...

What is the part number of the one you need? I have a spare one from a 550 system.

Re: Cleaning the System One humidifier outlet port
I know the user manual says to use a damp bottle brush but I don't see how that could kill any bacteria or mold. I don't see a way to remove the elbow without possibly braking it so I was wondering how I could disinfect the port without removing it? The elbow does not appear to be removable. Just p...
