Thank you
Thank you
I have been here two or three months now and just completed 3 months on cpap. I thought it was time to take a moment to thank so many of the "old timers" (not related to age, simply experience). I am thanking you not just for your answers to me but to so many others; answers that have also helped me. Most of us newbies write our first few messages as though we were the only one you are responding to and the first to have our unique experience. Three months later I realize my questions were asked hundreds of times before and a few since I asked. I am not going to mention individual names because I would leave someone out but I am sure you know your contribution. I, for the life of me, cannot figure out how you continue to give the same advice over and over without making the OP feel like they are a pain in the A, your patience is amazing. How you put up with trolls, people who are dedicated to bike riding but cannot figure out how to call their "healthcare" (sorry, just had to), poll after poll, question after question etc., yet make us feel like our question is important Your dedication to this site and helping others is so commendable and I just wanted to say thank you.

Re: Thank you
Most people come here... get what they need and eventually leave. After experiencing some success, some will stay a little while... then leave. I stay to help folks. You don't know how many times the old timers have been asked:
- what is the best mask?
- can I use regular water in my humidifier?
- how often do I clean my mask and how?
- I'm suffocating!
- How long does it take to start feeling better?
- my nose hurts!
- I can't fall asleep with the mask on!
- My wife/husband says "this ain't sexy!"
- I hate my DME... you won't believe what they just did....
I'm sure others will add... I'm not sure I helped you, but I know the grateful feeling you are now having. I've had it since 2010. I guess when I start feeling un-grateful, I should leave.
Blessings, Sheriff

Re: Thank you
I am also grateful for all the help I have received.
The people here have made my journey more effective, more comfortable, and less lonely.

All you 'old timers': never forget the innumerable people you have helped--including the ones you never hear from on-line that have quietly received help and encouragement. A fine calling!
I'll just add my thanks as well.

Re: Thank you
Nice post, good topic and great responses.
I've been here about 10 years. I have gotten much useful info from reading replies to others' questions (and some questions of my own); and thus, I feel a responsibility to check back every now and then to see if I can lend a hand.
Yes, many many questions have been asked and answered before. That does not change a new patient's urgency, and the need for some personal replies.
A bit off the subject, however I still recall what I wanted to read more than anything else when I first checked in at this fine site about a decade ago.
Success stories.

Re: Thank you
I just joined the forum @ 2 weeks ago. I got my machine on & started using it on Sept. 28th. I've been reading so I will give an advanced thank you for help with any issues I encounter in the future that I read a post about.
Re: Thank you
I won't name names because the list would be too long and I'll surely miss folks, but I do notice a few of those extremely helpful veterans on this thread. Thanks to all who give so selflessly to help others.
