I wrapped my headgear tightly around a wadded up bath towel to stretch it out a bit.
Stretching is cumulative later on. Now I have to wash more often to get my fit BACK.

The pillows should never be inside your nose, that's why it's hurting. Try again with the large and move the straps together and apart to get the right press. Good luck.

If you use a tiny bit of Lansinoh, the pillows will stick in place even with the headgear very loose.

I have a deviated septum and the P10 pillows can irritate my left nostril. Lansinoh solves my problems. Use a little bit every night. I also use large pillows on P10 and medium on every other pillow mask I have ever tried.

Similar issue with Airfit P10. Bleeding on one side only of my nasal septum. Develops after about 10 days of using the P10. I alternate with an Esom mask until the soreness heals. I use a Large P10; tried a Medium P10 - it was too noisy. My question: Why was soreness limited to one side of the septum? Thanks.

Like other people, I had trouble with the medium pillows. They would get wedged very uncomfortably into the end of my nose, and then they started creating a very annoying wheeze/whistle on exhale. Switching to large turned out to solve both problems.

I do have a constant small leak with the large, but it doesn’t bother me. To avoid larger leaks, I seat each pillow separately, bending them a little to optimize. Sometimes I need to do this a second time after I lie down and turn on the machine.

Just a thought. I am fighting the same thing right now after 10 months haven't had any since I started using the large size pillows instead of the medium which was recommended. Just recently stopped using the dedicated cpap wipes and picked up some baby wipes at the dollar store and 5 days later I have a nose sore. Have you changed pillow cleaner, schedule etc.

Hi all!

Sorry to revive an old thread but, by reading this (and other thread on the same subject) I avoided the need to create a new thread. I wanted to thank all the posters that shared their thoughts. I just finished my 3rd night on CPAP. I am using the Airfit P10 and, I'd love to make it work cause, you can't really go more minimal than this!

I started with the medium cushion and, the first night was ok, although some discomfort that I put on the "new" factor.

Second night was a bit less than ok; the contact of the cushion on my upper lip and on the bottom of my nostrils was bothering me. Since I am not having full night sleep yet, I woke up in the night with soreness at the nostrils edges.

For the 3rd. night, I thought I needed to switch to a small (I thought it hurt because it was too big) but, at first, I felt that less air was coming in (duh!) and, although it seemed to still seal, it did make the entire mask too losse and it moved quite a lot. When I woke up for the bathroom visit at night, I switched back to medium cushion but, by that time, everything was so sore that it felt too big and painful and switched again to small to try and minimize the pain. Needless to say that I woke up with the septum (the fleshy part just at the edge of your nose) really painful at the touch and, the outside of one of the nostril medium rare red!

Reading these thread, I will follow your advices:

- Will buy some Lansinoh and apply diligently
- Will try switching to large although it seemed counterintuitive to even contemplate the idea before reading your replies.
- Will contact my RT and test a nasal mask while I'm still in my 30 day period (although the P10 is so minimal, light weight and silent that I really want it too work)
- And more importantly; i will not give up! It's only been 3 days but, I can feel my sleep is a bit better. Also, I'm now the one who hears his loved one snore... And since I know I snore way more that her, I can't believe she endured this for as long as she did!!!

Thanks everybody!
