I found this very interesting... I guess it is not really new since it has been observed over the last hundred years or so.

The idea that less is more and offers more benefits (including protection from viral infection) has me reviewing how I breathe.

Re: COVID 19, CPAP, Ventilator MEGA THREAD...everything go here please
I believe that the best defense is a good offense. I am doing everything to increase the strength of my immune system. There seems to be a lot of information on vitamin D decencies and deaths from the virus. I decided to get my vitamin D levels checked. I think I am OK. The test came back at 59 ng/m...

Erratic Sleep, Your first graph shows mostly normal fluctuations in O2 levels during sleep. The desaturation just after 01:30:00 doesn't have the heart rate response that typically follows a respiratory related drop in O2. The big drop in the second graph is most likely an artifact caused by turning...

Re: Need a practical solution for recharging while off grid
Jpek, Here is a place to start from... When you drive somewhere, how long does it take to arrive and how much gas do you use? Example, if you drive 4 hours and go 200 miles and use 8 gallons of gas, you now have an idea of how to use you car to recharge your battery. At idle you use less gas than dr...

Re: O2 drop with CPAP
Try this... When you get up in the morning put your oximeter on and wear it to your appointment. See what happens during a "normal" day of wearing it. If you can find a destination that is roughly 30 minutes away and doesn't involve heavy traffic, go for a drive. I can breathe shallow and drop my O2...

Re: Is there a Respironics battery guide somewhere?
You are correct. Press the reset and things should go back to 0. I believe one is what you want to keep track of. It is probably set to a 24 hour day so your day count won't increase until it is being used for over 24 hours. My best guess is that two only displays when your device is being used. Thr...

I don't have one of those, but I do speak English... :) Plug the unit into your wall outlet. Then plug your CPAP machine into it. It looks like it defaults to KWh which is kilowatt hours. Take a piece of paper and write down when you plug it in. Use your machine for a few days, then write down what ...

Re: Travel CPAP / battery operated CPAP
Let's start by going shopping for breakfast... If you want to eat 1 egg and 1 slice of bacon each morning for breakfast, buying a dozen eggs and a pack of bacon that has something like 14 slices will give you enough for a dozen mornings. If you are very active and decide you need 4 eggs and 4 slices...

Re: O2 still fluctuating.
Michael, The scoring parameters that are the default with the oximeter are usually too sensitive and give rise to many more events. I was instructed to change the scoring to a change of 15 BPM over 30 seconds. That is not perfect but it will reduce a lot of the "noise." Give that a try and see of yo...

Interesting... A possible way to reverse Alzheimer's.

Some suggest that "reprogramming" the brain may also help reverse sleep apnea. More studies are needed.

The best way to improve your quality of sleep including REM sleep is to reset your circadian rhythm.

If you can get your hands on a voltmeter you can check the output of the brick to see if that is working.
If the brick is good, then the problem is with the CPAP itself.
