Hi Judith,
I just wanted to say welcome to CPAP Talk. As a fellow CPAPer or hose head I to have been where you are wondering if I could go to sleep with this damb elephant trunk attached to my face. It took about 4 weeks for me to really get used to the mask. Once i fell asleep I would leave my mask on for only half the night. Some time while I was sleeping I would pull the darn thing off up and over the top of my head and not miss a beat of sleep. Now I had a new problem I had to train my mind to leave the mask alone at night. I just told myself I had to keep the mask on or I would die, that seemed to do the trick for me cause I don't take it off anymore either. I promise you that eventually you will get a good nights sleep and feel more energized than ever before. I wish you well in your search for what works right for you.

Will I ever sleep again?

Hi "Wading thru the muck", I did have my appointment today but the office was fresh out of medium sized full face mask, so I won't be able to pick it all up until tomorrow (Nov 5th). They did set me up though, I will have a Remstar Plus with C-flex heater. My setting will be at 10 +/- 1 with a 20 minute ramp starting at 6. I am not certain which full face mask it will be yet as they didn't have one to give me today. I know it was $325 Canadian, if that is any indicator. (Ouch) I will let you know how it goes after tomorrow night as far as leaks, etc.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
Glad to hear things are going well with your procuring new CPAP equipment.
Boy, $325 for a few pieces of plastic and silicone - amazing!
It looks like you can but a full face online for $150 - $200 CAN. I guess the extra $150 +/- is for taking it out of the box for you.
If you need to pay for any further equipment yourself I would strongly recommend buying online. It has went well for me so far (and well for my insurance company too).
Please post a question on the forum if you run into any problems, There are many fine hoseheads ready to help you along, sometimes even when we should all be asleep.
Also check out the toll free support line at cpap.com there is no cost and they are very helpful and also available till late in the evening.
Good luck - we're all excited for you to give it another try
