Desperate for Sleep,
The place that that received your questionnaire should followup with you explaining the procedures for finding out more information. In my situation, I was given the option of setting up a telephone meeting with the doctor in charge of the study or personally visiting him to find out more information.
If you don't hear anything, maybe contact the place?

Chevie,
I recall there was a similar type situation with someone (memory escapes me) who encountered the same thing but claimed he/she did nothing wrong. Is it possible there is a flaw in the software?

It turns out that a business may use the same identification code for everyone working there,
as well as phone companies hosting data for multiple unrelated users.
The first may be what is happening here.
Kind of reveals the grade of players operating here.

Sounds like an explanation is in order from the OP.
I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Totally agree SNO. I initially wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt in light of apparently software glitches occurring previously on the forum making it look like someone was doing something shady when they weren't. But it is kind of curious he hasn't been back to clarify things.

Another condition that might prevent one from taking part in the study is having a pacemaker. (I do not know if this would prevent having the device installed.) I answered all the questions in their pre-questionnaire and that was the only one that might have caused them to say I was ineligible for the study.
I was not able to get answers to the following questions from thnstudy.com.
- Is the aura6000 device FDA approved? (I assume not, otherwise they wouldn't be doing a study.)
Since the device is available in Europe what kind of track record does it have? What website(s) might I go to to find out more about the success/failure of such devices outside of the United States?
Should having a pacemaker installed make it impossible to have the a6000 device installed?

At some point, somebody will come up with a completely external TENS-like unit to do the same thing.
If it works, ResMed's stock will go down to about a nickel.

Hi,
In the information sent to me by the nearest center, it said you can't be implanted with another implantable device so I am assuming that would rule you out for the study. But you might want to call the head of the study of the nearby center just to verify that.
If I decided to have an interview with the doctor heading the study, I would ask about the track record in Europe. Great question.
No, it isn't FDA approved. The results of the trial will determine that.

Any reason Bratty girl's post was deleted? This is getting really old.

Brattygirl,
Any possibility of you PMing me because I wanted to ask you some questions regarding the sleep apnea implant? You have to enable PM which you have disabled currently. If you don't want to have this enabled permanently, I could give you my email address.
Thanks!

I'm resurrecting in quote form the post 49er was referring to and had pasted by "BrattyGirl65".
I THOUGHT the post deletions were going to stop.

Maybe BG, herself, deleted the post after realizing it provided a little more info than she intended. Ya' think?
