Re: ResMed AirFit™ P10 for Her
Lansinoh is the stuff I use to keep the pillows from irritating my nose. Truly a tiny bit does the job. It also helps me with cutting down leaks with my P10. I order mine from Amazon. Another trick I learned here that works to keep things in place is to strategically place a ponytail in my hair and ...

Not sure how significant the drops in his SpO2 are and if they change possible treatment plans at all. Appreciate any thoughts or adv...

Re: Kaiser home titration, post TBI. Finally, DATA!!
Couldn't download the ResScan application to two different windows machines for various reasons. Probably the space between the computer and the chair Challenged with talking my niece through getting the data off the SD card and into Dropbox. So grabbed my MacBook (with Sleepyhead), snuck out of the...

Re: Kaiser home titration, post TBI, sleepyhead?
He's tolerating the CPAP okay and tomorrow we'll have a solid 3 nights of use. I'll write protect the SD card and take a look at the data using the official application. I'll likely post those results here for feedback before I do anything crazy Thanks all! A little knowledge is a scary thing someti...

Re: Kaiser home titration, post TBI, sleepyhead?
Thanks for the feedback. It's clear that he got put into the wrong assembly line for this issue. Although the care he received at the Inpatient rehab was outstanding and well coordinated, the outpatient care is less than well coordinated. Appreciate the tip on the patient rep. I'm going to need to g...

Re: Kaiser home titration, post TBI, sleepyhead?
Besides what Dr. Google says, is anyone aware of TBI causing SDB? Or long term tracheotomy leading to same?

Re: Kaiser home titration, post TBI, sleepyhead?
Thanks Pugsy. Sent a PM. I appreciate the advise and know that I'd be a more effective advocate if I can work within their rules. This kid has been through a lot and doesn't deserve to fall into the cookie cutter process.

Re: Kaiser home titration, post TBI, sleepyhead?
Indeed, they have a system. Works for the most part, if you're healthy. The RT who lead the class was at least aware enough to notice that my nephews case wasn't their garden variety OSA patient. She was transparent enough to make me aware that I could request a 1:1 session for him to evaluate the b...

Re: Kaiser home titration, post TBI, sleepyhead?
Thanks so much Pugsy! I can handle that. If sleepyhead does indicate that his apneas are central, not obstructive, do you think I'm on the right track in advocating for him and asking their sleep medicine folks to go straight to plan B? He's got enough crap to deal with, I don't want to let him go d...

Kaiser home titration, post TBI, sleepyhead?
Hi again. I'm looking for help with my nephew today. He was in a freak accident in January and suffered injuries to his brain stem and left frontal lobe. Coma for a couple weeks, trach for at least three weeks. Still struggling to recover from the TBI but in great physical shape. Wife noticed gaspin...

I use the SoClean too. Wouldn't cross my mind to take it with me while traveling. If you need it, maybe consider shipping it via UPS to your destination?
Good luck.

Re: F&P Eson Problem
The padacheek liner really helped make the Eson more comfortable for me. I liked not having to situate or align the single use liners every night. Also, the padacheek didn't slip around.
If you really want to treat yourself, the padacheek strap covers made the whole thing more comfortable.

Re: Marked increase in CA ???
Thanks Julie. I really don't like the idea of more apparatus but would try the collar before more plastic on the face. Started out with the Eson and had welts on my face from the silicone. Liners helped solve that problem but never fit precisely enough where they didn't slip and wake me from flappin...

Re: How to stop mouth opening, to use nasal pillows effectively?
Thank you. I'm impressed with the efforts folks take to make this therapy work. Clearly the benefits are worth the challenges.
