Thanks for the replies. A good couple of options there. Getting a new hose is not that convenient so reversing or adjusting the settings is a simple solution.
Thanks again.

Heater hose Resmed S9 under battery operation
OK camping has been done to death but I only have to do this every now and again and it has not worked well to date. I only have one hose and its a heater hose. I was not going to use the humidifier to save power, will the heater hose draw additional power when connected without the humidifier? As I...

Re: Resmed S9 camping and battery use
CapnLoki, If I Have one night, with a fully charged car battery, 35 amp hours gets drawn, 100amp hour capability, 1/3 cut out, should get through one night? I think the cut out mechanism explains why when I used a cheap sealed motor cylcle small battery it kept cutting out, but surely a car battery ...

Re: Resmed S9 camping and battery use
I have the 12v power pack though, so surely that can plug into a car battery and see one night out?

Weight loss and treatment
I have used CPAP S9 autoset every night for 4 years. Recently over 6 months I have lost 15kg of body weight, BMI is back in the normal range. Downloaded my data with my service provide service provider said I still have apenoa and that it will never be cured. She pointed to the graph and said my air...

Re: Traveling with CPAP
I travel with mine all the time. If I need an extension cord the hotel/motel can usually help. As far as sharing a room goes, I get heaps of questions from my roommate(s) but this is heaps better than the sideways looks I used to get in the morning from my room mates when I had an untreated snoring/...

Re: Flying with CPAP my experience
I agree Gumpy. My prior planning was pretty poor. I started phoning up the airlines etc. just under 24 hours before leaving. I was quite surprised the airlines had good, easy procedures to notify and record your intention of using CPAP and no script was necasary - as long as your machine was on thei...

Re: Flying with CPAP my experience
Thats the thing - i had no paperwork for my CPAP. As I used the telephone to confirm it was OK to use CPAP on the plane - It was all noted on my booking (computer reference) with the various airlines. But no actual paperwork. The security staff are government employees seperate from the actual airli...

Re: Flying with CPAP my experience
Air NZ, Wellington. However I had had 3 flights with AirNZ and it was only on the fourth flight that a security staff said it wasn't allowed on the plane.
I couldnt believe it.
I had no further problems with my next two qantas flights.
I think the person was genuinely mistaken?

Flying with CPAP my experience
Well I have been on this site for a while but forgot my log on so have resigned. Following advice from this site I checked with my airline(s) to register bringing CPAP gear. As I gave less than 24 hours notice I had to use my own power. Thats OK, I have a converter plug and power pack for my S9. So ...
