Auto is now on and the start changed from 4 to 5. That should take care of the not enough air at the start (didn't know I could set that) and the auto should keep me from trying to force sleep start which is kind of self defeating.
I always intended to go back and tweak the "softer settings" once the apnea's got handled, I guess I am at that point now and didn't recognize it.

Re: Two weeks in, why am I waking up during the night
This is from last night. I ended up with a starting pressure of 5.6! This machine is soooo nice. 5 was not enough and 6 was too much.
I woke up a little less often, and did not stay awake as long. Overall better.
The below image is a close up of my morning, with a nice long sleep and then disruption and waking
I am still looking to sleep through the night
TIA

Curious, have did you sleep the whole night before?PoolQ wrote:I am still looking to sleep through the night
Some people don't.
I rarely sleep the entire night and quite commonly 2-Sleep the night with typically a 3 hour session followed with 1-3 hours of up and a second session to the morning when I get up. I typically get 7-7.5 hours sleep a night on average.

Before all this, yes slept all night. Then started waking-then 1-2 hours a night of sleep-diagnosed- now this with CPAP.
The ripping my mask off has ended, now I just get the feeling that I need to get away from it for a while, so I get out of bed.
I have zero idea what my "normal" should be at this point

"normal" is what ever is functional for you and your life. "Normal" is getting good sleep and enough of it within a 24 hour span that will leave you healthy and functional. There is no reason these 8 hours have to be between 10pm and 7am.PoolQ wrote: I have zero idea what my "normal" should be at this point

Re: Two weeks in, why am I waking up during the night
By normal I guess I mean what I can expect my average sleep to be with CPAP. If I have to live with getting out of bed 3-5 times a night, then I will. If I can still gain some improvement, then I want to try for that. This coming Monday will be 3 weeks on CPAP and I would be surprised if I am done tuning my sleep already. I don't know what I don't know yet.BlackSpinner wrote:"normal" is what ever is functional for you and your life. Also if I need a different machine, then I want to switch before the end of the year when my insurance converts this machine from a rental to owned
