Re: Just got back from the sleep doctor...
Here's recommendation from the Guidelines: Damn. You are a real pill trying to educate Pugsy. Go wash my sheets. Your avatar is so 'pretty'. Tells a lot about yourself. Go eat my shorts! And stop 'praying' to someone else. She's the first to admit that she is not a professional in the field. I resp...

Re: Just got back from the sleep doctor...
Ok, fair enough.
But I shouldn't have to read all the threads. I should read this one, and I think I did.
I am leaving now, so that you won't have Teddie to kick around anymore.

Re: Just got back from the sleep doctor...
Here's recommendation from the Guidelines: I am well aware of the guidelines. You are preaching to the choir here. So your point is???? 1....I don't think he ever had a formal in lab titration. 2...Coulda, shoulda, woulda and by the book is nice but in real life it doesn't always work out that we g...

Re: What To Do? Self Titrating
I'm not trying to oversimplify but perhaps I am?
If an event is a true central apnea then the brain fails to signal for the patient to breathe. The patient fails to breathe for at least 10s and many times longer, correct?
Woudn't that failure to breathe show up in the respiration graph?

Re: Just got back from the sleep doctor...
Yeah...if it were me I would try 20/20 with no EPR but bear in mind that if you stay with this doctor you are going to have to at least try her recommendations so you can prove to her what you are seeing. It's just how some docs choose to see things and won't listen to common sense or logical reaso...

Re: Just got back from the sleep doctor...
Yeah, me and my comprehensive shortcomings with 0 AHI's more frequent than not, or always below 1.0, at the least, an optimization of therapy after 5 months, and FEELING VERY GOOD or GREAT much of the time, despite a BMI of 31.7. I don't need this place any more. When I post, I try to be of benefit ...

Re: Just got back from the sleep doctor...
Knowing of your treatment of people on this forum, PR, I would consider the above to be a compliment. You are the personification of the perennial 'fly' in one's soup. You have a nice, miserable day, ogre! Whatever happened to the 'SPAM', button? Methinks you must've lost the privilege of having on...

Re: Just got back from the sleep doctor...
I also got paperwork on my sleep test and it shows that my apnea is mostly central with a small amount of obstructive. But Sleepyhead and my statistics show the opposite. I think this is also where my doctor is confused and this just doesn't make sense. On this forum it seems that people tend to pl...

Re: What To Do? Self Titrating
Would it be at all helpful to see a Respiration chart/graph (if such exists with SH) to determine if OP was breathing during the numerous Clear Airway/mixed apnea events reported? That would be the flow rate zoomed in on a breath by breath in SleepyHead or wave form graph in Encore. I wasn't going ...
