Pulminary hypertension- anyone have this

Post by Corky1121 » Thu Jul 02, 2015 12:51 pm

I was diagnosed with this and that is the reason for the home sleep study. They didn't tell me how high the pressure is. I wondering anyone here has this and if the CPAP has shown improvements.

Thank you
Diagnosed after home study with 37 obstructive Apneas. Indexed at 22 Per hour. Moderate Apnea. Have suffered migraines and waking up stiff and tired and at times with muscle spasms.

I was diagnosed 2 yrs ago with pulmonary hypertension. Clap has helped along with weight reduction and exercise. Now that your Dr knows he should put you on a program to help your breathingI went to pulmonary rehabilitation. They teach you how to breath in different situations. In my case the pulmonary hypertension was caused from the sleep apnea.
I was put on a bilmachine . One pressure in one pressure out. Doing, much
Better

I have PH secondary to restrictive lung disease (kyphoscoliosis). I started using the BiPAP in April but I haven't really noticed much improvement. However, I am still waiting to get a Respironics AVAPS machine which provides much better ventilation. As of now I am barely able to sleep at all so I'm sure that is not helping .
