We have no idea what you mean by high. Could be 100 l/min or 75 or 25 or 3.BIGELI wrote:MASK LEAKAGE. Sometimes this number is high

Re: Understanding my leak rate?
I have the ResMed AirCurve10 and it is so noisy blowing air that I have to wear earplugs. Even though it leaks I still get Happy Faces on the machine in the morning? I have tried the Mirage FX and the AirfitN10. Any suggestions?

Can you figure out where the noise is coming from? The machine fan? The hose? The mask vent? Mask leaks?Cpapissuegirl wrote:I have the ResMed AirCurve10 and it is so noisy blowing air that I have to wear earplugs.

It seems to be coming from the mask.

Re: Understanding my leak rate?
well, all masks have vent holes in them, so that you don't suffocate and die, air is supposed to come from those, in fact, quite a lot of air. however, that's usually pretty quiet, unless the air stream is blowing on something.Cpapissuegirl wrote:It seems to be coming from the mask.
now, leaks where the mask fits to your face, those can be quite noisy.

My guess is also that the vent air is blowing on something like maybe the sheet or pillow.
Look at the display on your machine and tell us what your leak rate is.
Also, in the forum go to User Profile and fill our the Equipment section so people can see which machine and masks you are using.
