Hose Length

Post by BIGELI » Wed Jul 01, 2015 4:03 am

One of the biggest pains in the a-- to me is the 6 foot hose we have to deal with. Since many masks now come with a thin tube of its own we are now talking about almost 7 feet of hose. WAY TOO MUCH. Finally thanks to the net was able to order 4 foot hoses. As anyone tried shorter hoses? Would a shorter hose result in higher pressure coming through? I haven't received my shipment yet.

A shorter hose shouldn't affect the pressure. I've never heard anybody wanting a shorter hose before. I prefer to sleep facing away from my machine, so I need enough hose to do that without it feeling tight. Since a lot of people roll over during the night, they need to have a hose long enough to handle that without pulling on or flipping the machine.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

There should be no issues with the shorter hose.

Use a hose hanger.
It takes the weight off your mask, and it helps water drain back into the tank, instead of into your face.
---Better to have more hose than you need than a broken machine on the floor.
