The Best Full Face Mask

Post by stcrim » Mon Jun 29, 2015 6:07 pm

I know, it's a loaded question. I am looking for the very best, most comfortable, lightest FFM that also works for side sleepers. Is there such a thing???

This is one of the few that works for me, but I only use it when my nose is congested.

My husband uses the Airfit F10 with a Padacheek liner the helps prevent sliding and leaks. He is on his side most of the night.

After trying four or five others, I'm very satisfied with my ResMed Quattro FX. It is light weight and does not have a forehead piece. Is easy on the nose.

I'm a side sleeper and found I had to make the straps quite tight, but that does not make it uncomfortable. I use a regular pillow and it does not unseat the mask.

I use the Zzz-Mask Full Face CPAP Mask by Probasics.

I like that it does not have the forehead support, and more then anything else I like the price. Compared the price to Resmed masks this mask is half price, and the replacement cushions are about half also. The mask works well for me, but every one is different. I have high pressure settings of 23/19, and so far this mask serves me well.

I wish you well...

So far, I've been pretty happy with the Airfit F10 & the Hans Rudolph 7600 Series V2 full face masks. I think that the Hans R. is slightly better at staying sealed while sleeping on your side with a "normal" bed pillow. YMMV.

I have the AirFit10 but really have to tighten it to avoid leaks. Even with a liner if I don't crank it down I'll get audible and annoying leaks all night long.

I've been having good results with the AirFit F10. I was using a F&P Forma and I felt leaks all the time. My wife also said that mask was "whistling" a lot, but the new one doesn't whistle at all. I've only been using the F10 for about a week, but so far I'm happy with it. Of course, YMMV

That's my experience with the AirFit 10. I wouldn't say I have to really over-tighten it but it's definitely more tight than any other mask I've used. I find it very comfortable even with the extra snugness. I also put some Sharpie pen marks on the straps when new so that I can tell where I started... this gives me a guide as the headgear ages and stretches (The headgear lasts a long long time but it will stretch a little).

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
