Hello: Recently got my PC back from the repair shop. They installed a new MB and HD. Using Windows7 as before. My older version of SH wasn't moved over to new HD.
I've downloaded the SH software v 64 bit - selfextrat. and the vcredist_x86 files. I'm stuck on what I need to do next. Not seeing any .exe file to start up the software. Tried to follow Archangel instruct. but got lost. I just don't remember what I did last time (with help from the board) to get SH installed.
SH sftwr is loaded to Computer>Documents>Library> Sleephead-Testing 0.9.8-1-T3-Wind...
Missing link dll is loaded to Computer>Downloads>vcredist_x86
Please help me complete the next step and to make a shortcut copy of the SH sheep on the tool bar(?).
Would it be better to install when Windows 10 gets installed to my PC sometime in July?
I appreciate your help.

Krevlin's link may help you https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleepy ... erediditgo
Also with the 64 bit I used the vcredist_x64.exe file
The 86 one might work but I know the 64 works with the 64 bit computer and software.

Re: Help With SH Install
You have to unzip/extract the zipped SH folder. Once unzipped open the folder and scroll down to the bottom of the list of files and the application file to launch SleepyHead is at the bottom. There may be 2 of them...and open GL and broken GL version. Try either one to see which one works.
The missing file that you downloaded just needs to be installed normally onto your computer. The vcredit thing is install to Windows in general. It doesn't go inside Sleepyhead. Just double click to install it like you would any other file like that.
Once you figure out which of the files in that SleepyHead unzipped folder works to launch SleepyHead you can go back in there and right click the mouse and choose "pin to start menu" or "pin to taskbar" or create a shortcut to where ever you want the shortcut to be...then you won't have to open that main folder each time you want to open SleepyHead.

Re: Help With SH Install
1st result: I installed the vcredist_x86 file as per Pugsy instruct. Looks like it worked but don't know where to look to verify that.
2nd result: unzipped SH - went to folder - clicked on broken GL -error message: 'msvcr120.dll is missing-reinstall sftwr' - did the same with unbroken GL - same error message.
Note: went to control panel - no information is showing on changing 'Folder Extensions'. Perhaps I'm using a different version of Internet Explorer or Wind. 7?

If you are using 64 bit software on a 64 bit computer you may need this file vcredist_x64.exe fileOkyDoky wrote:Krevlin's link may help you https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleepy ... erediditgo

Re: Help With SH Install
Thank you gals for all your help! Using the 64exe helped. I'm so glad that the sheep icon is on the tool bar. Makes life a lot simpler. Now on to loading a month's worth of data to SH.

Re: Help With SH Install
I did download my sd(?) card and downloaded data to SH. The data with charts (graphs) itself only goes back about one month. You only get limited information for prior days to full data. My pc was working until 5/18 - my full data starts at 5/28. Loss of 10 days. Not a problem for me. Might be useful info for someone.
