Since discovering sleepyhead I loaded my old CPAP resmed s9 data and over a 3 month period my AHI ranged from 0.6 to 22.5. but were mostly below 10 with very few centrals. When I did sleep study my AHI was over 35....with a lot of centrals.
When I used phillips system 1 demo... bipap and bipap s/t my ahi was 18-23 over a 4 week period.
now I am on resmed s9 servo vent. and numbers are between 1-4 ahi.
Do you think resmed under reports events to have better numbers? or are they accurate?
How accurate is RESMED AHI numbers?

First, the time frame is different, and you were getting used to therapy with the first machine.
Four weeks with a new patient is random at best.
Second, the machines have similar, but not identical programming--you may respond better to one than the other.
Thirdly, the machines may have been set differently; any comparison would be meaningless.

fourthly, an ASV is a wholly different animal from a plain bipap, or ST machine.chunkyfrog wrote:First, the time frame is different, and you were getting used to therapy with the first machine.

Study comparing S9 AHI reporting and PSG Data:
http://www.atsjournals.org/doi/abs/10.1 ... acts.A3747
Study concluded that S9 AHI data is highly correlated with PSG data
