Re: Dream and cpap

I have been on cpap a few months. Before cpap I could not remember dreams. Now I do. When I wake to go to the bathroom I often notice I am in REM and dreaming. It still surprises me because I went so long without it. I think wow I am dreaming again. At least that is a good sign, but I would like mor...

Re: best pillow for side sleeper

Sleepguy, I am not likely to purchase anything else from you as a dissatisfied customer. You have a chance to make it right, but are not taking advantage of the opportunity. If you truly believe the cover solves the comfort issue you should have already sent me one right away at no charge. A cover a...

Re: Discussion/feedback thread for CPAPfit Pillow beta testers

I sent an email to get in on the beta test. Got no reply. Bought a pillow. Sent a great idea for product improvement (embedded foam in the layers of the pillow case itself) which was written off. And offered to share more ideas as well but I could not get in on this additional foam offer. It seems I...

Re: best pillow for side sleeper

That's exactly how I sleep. I am not sure if you can tell but there is a pillow between my knees with the arthritis and all...

Re: best pillow for side sleeper

I got my cpap fit pillow. I removed a gallon of stuffing. It still seems really too firm for my preference. Has anyone added foam or something else to increase the softness or comfort? If so, where did you get your stuffing?

Re: Surgical solution (?)

I just hope somebody can learn from my mistake. It's so hard because you trust doctors to give you help but many don't care about helping unless you mean helping themselves to your pockets. Don't trust a doctor. Do your own research. Find independent verification. If it is too good to be true, it is.

Re: best pillow for side sleeper

Ok I ordered a CPAPFIT pillow today. I am worried it will be too firm. Time will tell I guess.

I also ordered the cpap travel buddy too since I have to do that more than I prefer lately. Nobody mentioned an articulating arm so I guess that must be overkill.

Re: best pillow for side sleeper

I should say this is crick in the neck pain that goes away after some days but its happened twice now in past couple weeks.

If I sleep on my back it doesn't seem to happen but I don't rest near as well on my back and it's much harder for me to fall asleep on my back.

Re: best pillow for side sleeper

I am glad this thread was resurrected. I am having really bad neck pain. I thought I might be sleeping wierd due to trying not to pull the mask off while I sleep. I was thinking I needed some kind of articulating arm for hanging the hose. Is there anything like that you good people recommend? So it ...

Re: [Poll] Do you use "exhalation relief" on your CPAP machine?

also, make sure you're using the right size pillow, for myself, I thought a medium would work, but a large works much better... I took your advise and tried a large and it does allow more flow but it's just a bit too large so that it's uncomfortable in the nostrils. Any recommendation for something...

Re: Surgical solution (?)

Yes, they both did nasal peeks. I was told that surgery would definitely fix my snoring and 80 percent chance fix OSA. I told them I preferred surgery to a life connected to a machine If it fixed the problem. Unfortunately, the only thing it fixed was a hole in the docs pocket.

Re: Surgical solution (?)

I was told by 2 doctors that the surgical solution was to remove my uvula and tonsils which did Jack squat for me...

I hoped I could avoid being stuck to a machine by getting surgery. Now I just choke a lot.

Re: [Poll] Do you use "exhalation relief" on your CPAP machine?

Tried it for a couple days now and I think I like it. Exhaling does seem easier using the default 2 c-flex setting. I am glad this was posted because the guy that sold me my machine told me that c-flex was not part of my prescription. He said I should ignore it... I had no idea it was a helpful feat...
