OT How the time changes.

Post by carbonman » Fri May 29, 2015 8:41 pm

When my sister passed, it was her request to be returned to the earth.
It was to be her favorite place in Rocky Mt. Nat. Park. Her safe place.
We go up there a couple of times a year, spring and fall.
It's different than going to my parents grave site, in a traditional cemetary.
I always see and feel different things when I go there.
We went up a few days ago. Spring has just barely arrived at her place.

Aspen leaves are just popping out.

She is part of this place now.
Image

It was raining at her place. So quiet and still, you could hear the rain
on the leaves and flowers.
Image

Trail Ridge road was still not open, because up there it is still winter.
Image

We drove up to Rainbow Curve, where the road is closed.
Image

They use the big boy toys up there to get the road open.
Image

Any trip into the park requires an elk pic. The bulls are in their
velvet time of the year. Just hang'n in the meadow at Sheep Lake.
Image

On the way home on the Peak to Peak, it was for sure winter on Longs Peak.
No one going for a summit this day.....certainly no one on the diamond face.
Image

Her favorite place, her favorite thing, aspen leaves.
Time is healing. ....but the time is just so different now.
"If your therapy is improving your health but you're not doing anything
to see or feel those changes, you'll never know what you're capable of."
I said that.

I always enjoy your pictures, but these felt extra special just knowing the story behind them. Looks like you and your sister shared an appreciation for the beauty of nature. Something about spring in the country is extra special. Thank you for sharing this piece of your life.

Carbonman,

Thank you again for your lovely photos and for sharing your feelings as you experienced this beautiful place. Your sister was special, I can tell by the tribute you give her. You are also a great guy to care so deeply.

I love when you share your adventures with us. I am looking forward to seeing the spring and summer unfold in the Rocky Mountains through your heart, eyes and lens. Safe venturing to you and healing to your heart, one day at a time.

Karen

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
