Hummidifier
Hummidifier
Hello, new to the forum, just picked a brand new Res med s 10, Auto CPAP machine, was wondering if you don't put water in the humidifier container will it cause it to burn? or will the humidifier shut off on its own?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Hummidifier
If you are worried, you can purchase a cover and leave the tank out completely.

Re: Hummidifier
Detach the humidifier if you don't plan to use it... I doubt if it would burn, but probably not good for it to run without water all the time. I do know that many nights, depending on the weather here in Minnesota, my humidifier runs dry... sometimes it feels a tiny bit warm in the morning, but that's all.
My question is, why don't you want to use the humidifier? I'd suggest trying CPAP with water in the humidifier first, then try it without and see what works better for you. Some people can really feel the difference, and have a definite preference.

Humidity level can simply be set to "Off" and the humidifier won't apply any heat to the water chamber.
The machine won't know to turn itself off...you need to do it or else the hot plastic will stink as it gets hot.

Re: Hummidifier
The Resmed Airsense 10 line do not have a removable humidifier.library lady wrote:Detach the humidifier . . .
I kind of think that is what the OP means.
Bird dog, it would be cool if you could fill in your equipment in your profile.
Text is lots better than icons.

you can't detach the humidifier from an airsense 10.library lady wrote:Detach the humidifier if you don't plan to use it... the answer, as pugsy said, is to just turn the humidity off
