are you under the impression that posting something repeatedly because you haven't bothered to read anything on the forum and then getting all butthurt and whiny is in some way an enriching contribution to the community?

Tiredgrl - Wow is right! Yup, the "rule" you speak of was apparently submitted by the rude, snarky people you speak of. The rest of us give you the right to post any topic you'd like as many times as you would like because it doesn't hurt anyone... except the nasty people. And, the "rest of us" don't give a hoot if you didn't read the previous posts or anything else for that matter. The news all around the world is horrific and sad, and yet all the rude, snarky people have nothing better to do than to pile on you. What a joke!

Really sorry that you had to run into this bunch so soon after joining this forum.

Thanks ems.

Yes, I did join in 2009. I often read posts on this forum but rarely post. I frequently see a small minority of people continue to attack, jump on, and run off people. Most of the time I don't have the time to post. I'm a busy person. I work 50-some hours a week. I don't have the time or energy to research everything on this website to make sure what I post hasn't already been posted. Other groups I'm a member of don't have a group of rabid attack dogs that jump on people for not following their rules. On this forum it's the same people over and over who will predictably chew your ass for not being as smart as them. My post was simply intended to share something that I thought was interesting. If the small minority of rabid attack dogs on this forum stopped posting, this would be a nice place to learn from.

let's just take a step back, and see if we can find the 'rabid attack dog' here.
is it this:
grayghost4 wrote:this was posted yesterday ... and the day before, ..... and Tomorrow, and the next day

it should be made into a stickey at the top
or this:

y'all decide.

Tiredgrl... don't even bother with a response to PR... he isn't worth your time or energy. Sadly, he is only one of many. Glad you've been around awhile so that your questions are answered and you can just sit back and watch the fun... when you have nothing better to do. It's a show!

Oh palerider, you amuse me. I'm going to guess you're some small, tiny man in person who gets to feel real powerful and like something important while typing on your keyboard in the anonymity of the Internet.

You're a member of the "rabid attack dog" club. My post is pointing out the viciousness of several folks on this forum. You're one of them. I simply posted a comment about something I found interesting, and out came the dogs because I didn't obey the rules that a few of you force people to adhere to. This isn't your personal forum. This isn't your personal website. How do you get off dictating what other people post about?

nor, surprisingly, is it yours. and yet, you're trying to dictate how people respond to you....

grayghost4 is a very nice elderly gentleman, he made a very mild comment, you got all offended, and you went on the attack.

I'm sorry you don't "don't have the time or energy to research" whether something has been posted, but that's hardly our fault... now is it? you certainly seem to have plenty of time to come in here and start bitching people out... funny that.

and, I'm glad I amuse you I aim to please

Thanks ems. I do learn a lot from this forum. When I first started my PAP therapy this place was a tremendous help. In between learning something useful I also enjoy the cheap entertainment. It's the unfortunate people who experience the wrath of people like palerider and some of the others. Hopefully they stick around and try to learn something. Way more people "view" posts than those who respond. Maybe all those people who just "view" but don't respond are here for the cheap entertainment too.

Tiredgrl... there are many of "us" here. More and more people, especially the last few months, are saying the exact things you and I are saying. I'd like to think there is strength in numbers. I PM with many of those people and there are things underway. Supposedly, this sort of thing has been going on for years and maybe it has. But it's enough now and needs to stop! "Cheap entertainment"... you got that right!

ems - it's kind of like gang behavior on this forum. What I find fascinating is how a few individuals on this forum have acquired the power to dictate how other people behave, what they can post, what they can't post, etc. This isn't their website. It's not their forum. They don't have the authority by anyone to create and enforce rules that other people must adhere to. If I don't want to do an extensive, lengthy search of something before I ask a question, who says I have to? The vocal minority on this forum? I've been a member here since 2009 and have seen many people run off. Look up the definition of a "cyber bully." Several people on this forum fit the description of a cyber bully. More people need to speak and refuse to be insulted and run off.

Hmm, I thought the advantage of an unmoderated forum like cpaptalk.com was that if someone posted about a topic like the micro cpap device which according to usual forum behavior has a alot less chance of being duplicated than a general topic like masks, pillow, etc., that people didn't have to worry about offending the search natzis. I guess I thought wrong. Anyway, as you all like to throw in my face when I complain about bullying behavior, I wanted to remind you folks that this forum is unmoderated and you all are not unofficial moderators of this forum who get to harass posters for not following your search and grammar rules or any other absurd ones you think up at the time.

I am very sorry that I offended you. I was simply trying, in a light hearted way. to tell you that it had been posted the day before and if you scroll down a page or two you will find a discussion of the device you posted about.

viewtopic/t105819/See-this-Airing-Micropap.html

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=105773&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

But NO you had to go off at me.

I do not believe that my response was “UNFRIENDLY” !

I did not see any of your thoughts about the “NEW” device …. You might have given some of your ideas about the device so a discussion could have been started.

By the way, did you look at the other threads. Or do we need to copy and paste them here for you to read (so you do not have to bother to click on the links above).
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!
