3rd night better but still working on this

Post by AnnePandora » Sat May 23, 2015 8:02 am

Hello, all!

For my third night of this new therapy I had a full face mask (I have LOTS of issues with congestion and allergies; I started with a nasal mask because it worked in the titration study, but now we are in Spring Pollen Season) -- this did help a lot; my AHI went from 30 the first night and 40 the secone (in the lab it was 50) to 21.

The mask fits well, as far as I can tell, and I get it to stop leaking, but then it starts leaking again in the night; I know to get some mask filters, so I will do that.

My pressure settings are 4-20.

I got the Sleepyhead software, and here's a screen shot of last night; if you have any insights as to what I might do next (besides the mask filter), I would be very grateful to hear them.

thanks, Anne

Some questions come to mind

When using SleepyHead the term you see ..Clear Airway...equals Centrals with the ResMed machines...so if you used ResScan you would see Centrals noted.

1...What was your official diagnosis? Was it OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) or maybe something with centrals included like Complex Sleep Apnea?

2..When you do your screen shots can you make sure that these graphs are shown
On the left...show it like you have now but on the right side where you are now showing the Events graph and below it the tidal volume and all those graphs..omit all those other graphs.
These are what we like to see
Events
Flow rate
Pressure
Leak
and with the ResMed machines maybe the Flow limitation graph if it shows much going on.

3. According to SleepyHead your pressure begins at 12 cm....not the 4 cm unless you are using ramp with it.
I am confused as to what mode is being used and the settings as it shows that you have a bilvel device but not bilevel pressures...so do you know how to go into the clinical setup menu area and verify exact mode and exact settings?

4...SleepyHead has some trouble with the new AirCurve 10 bilevel devices so I don't know if what I am seeing is a SleepyHead bug or something in the settings themselves.
Do you have a Windows computer so we could use ResScan if we had to?

If you were asleep for the most part during those ugly clusters of both CAs and OAs....things are ugly and more information is needed.
