I'm confused. Where are all these posts people are quoting coming from because I don't see some of them in the thread! It's getting hard to keep up.

I'm sorry though to see such things happening in someone else's home. The Goodmans provide this unmoderated forum for people to HELP one another. While I can't and don't speak for the Goodmans, if I was in their shoes I'd be looking at wholesale banning or taking down this board. Look at what it's become recently. Not only this thread but multiple threads. Personal attacks, profanity, instigating issues. Belittling people because they can't spell or communicate as good as others. People have posted multiple time how their afraid to post things because they don't want to be bullied.

Some people have other medical issues that make it impossible for them to respond 'logically'. They're not required to provide us with their entire medical history. There have been some subjects where I've had to throw my hands up and say sorry I can't help you further. That's all it took. You can lead the horse to the water, but you can't make them drink is a very good philosophy for posting here.

What the heck is happening to this forum? There was a lot of great assistance to all sort of people. Yes people ask the same question over and over again. Not everybody knows and or understands how to search. My father is in his 80's and to put it mildly, computer unsavvy. If he had Sleep Apnea I would never suggest he come here for help. All the blood thirsty sharks here would shred him to pieces because this highly educated but computer neophyte man would be slow on the comprehension of some of the basic skills needed. People would roll their eyes and make their snide comments because he didn't dare search or comprehend their help.

We have the Emmys, the Oscars, the Golden Globe awards for different styles of acting. We now need to institute Apneaic Awards for all the acting that goes on here. There are the Bravo Awards (Pugsy & RobySue immediately come to mind), The Helper awards (Dori & others). Then there is the low-life awards for the low class acting that goes on here as well. There is numerous fine examples presented in this one thread alone. There are talented people who could win in several categories through their perseverance in helping others and acting as an ass as well. Sometimes they manage to do both categories in the same posting!

I'm not so well educated as multiple people here, but if a blue collar worker can make a suggestion to all these intelligent people throwing their temper tantrums in the Goodmans house, it would be chill. If you can't help, if you can't provide constructive assistance....move on. Don't post. Ignore people who get under your skin. If necessary make them your foe so you don't see the postings that seem to drive your common sense & courtesy out of the room where the keyboard is.

And now that my rant is done, it's time for me to mask up, and respond to my therapy. Fortunately I don't need to ask for assistance because I doubt it would be found here.

It's a shame what has become of this forum! The only positive is that more and more people are finally seeing it for what it is ... a place where many people (aka 'the groupies') who obviously have no lives, stay here day and night to bully, make inane comments and make a supreme effort to show others what ego maniacs they are.

The real shame is for the new people who come here seeking advice because they don't understand the diagnosis they've just been given. Instead, they see a thread which tells them how to find the answers themselves so as not to bother people on the forum. Next I expect to see a thread on proper grammar and punctuation.

The helpful and knowledgeable people who know more than most doctors seem to be here less and less. I wonder why?

More like I was wondering what people were talking about. It gets hard to follow along when posts are deleted. I've been here long enough to realize people like to bicker and as I told someone via PM, it's better than watching the shows on Bravo at times

and, if you dig through the archives, you'll find, as I believe wulfman pointed out, it's not a recent thing, it's not that this board has suddenly turned to crap.... it's always been a variety, just the names change over time. it's all there, in the 972,867 posts in 98,831 topics (as of this moment) that are available.

one has but to dig a little. you'll find knock down drag-out fights that make the stuff these days look tame.
