Hose management
Hose management
We are now down to fine tuning.......struggled with machines, won. Got an APAP (Remstar Auto with Cflex) Got the software and monitored my treatment.
struggled with masks.....now own 8.
3 Full Face masks
5 pillow interfaces masks.
Aura/headrest is First choice
CL2 is very close 2nd choice
Breeze is also close 3rd choice.
Struggled with hose management and now have a winner.
Photos shown on this page http://bellcrestboxers.com/cpapsetup.html
Didn't post photos directly here because I know some are on dial up and download takes too long. Go have a look.
My numbers are great. 106 AHI untreated.....and from 1 - .04 treated with pressure set between 9/13
I am feeling wonderful, and apparently I look better cause everyone makes comments about how I look and act....I have tons of energy. I used to hate going to bed and hooking up, now I look forward to a night with my best friend the APAP machine. Journey to this point has taken 5 1/2 months.
I am posting this in the hopes that my success will encourage those who are still new and struggling. I absolutely hated the idea of having to wear a mask for the rest of my life. If I had not found this board and the support from people who frequent it, I know I would not have remained compliant. I thank all those here and especially those who regularly post to encourage newbies.

Shirley, what a cool setup you've fixed...the 'Adjust a Hook' plant hanger from Lowes. Very, very nice. And all color coordinated, I see. Even the scrunchy!
Excellent account of how you've been tweaking your way to good treatment!
LittleBaddow, it's so good to see you posting again. You always used to give some of the most encouraging advice and helpful tips...and you still do. Hope everything is going well.

Those are Bellcrest's pictures...her bedroom, her bear. I simply posted her pictures to show the way she fixed that cool hanging hose holder. My bedroom is neat, but not that neat!

Anyone know if those "Adjust a Hooks" are available to buy online somewhere? This looks like an excellent system! I've been using a nail in the wall and rubber band, this looks much better.

Hose stand
Another poster a long time ago showed plans (do you remember RG - our link mistress!) about using PVC pipe to make a stand.
My hubby made one (I'll have to take a picture) and it fits between the mattress and boxsprings. I goes up and over the headboard and has an elbow joint and he drilled a hole in the end and put a bungee cord do attach my hose. I can go from side to side and my hose never pulls my mask. You can glue it together or not. If you don't you could actually take it on a trip.
Just another idea.
Bellcrest - great set up and I am glad to hear you are doing so well!
