Aussie Heated Hose Questions

Post by krousseau » Tue Apr 25, 2006 10:22 pm

How long do they last-does the heat cause the plastic & rubber ends to deteriorate more quickly? How do you clean them? Do you still use a hose cover?
Thanks.....Kay

I have had one for at least a year. No problems. However, I would purchase the hose connectors to make the ends of the heated hose last longer. According to Joe from cpapman, F & P connectors are the best. However, they cost a little more.

I've used one for about 18 months now, still going fine! And, yes, I do use the hose for ease of removal. Not sure what kind they are though. I bought mine from cpap.com.

To Yoga and Inacpapfog,

Exactly what hose connector are you refereing to? Is it the quick hose connect adapter they have at CPAP.com?

Yes. However, the ones we have are more expensive and made by F&P (Fisher & Paychel).

Call cpapman and ask to speak to Joe.
