Comfortlite II update

Post by sleepyred » Tue Apr 11, 2006 5:31 am

3rd night was much better - used another posters suggestion and tightened the bottom straps. I also did not use the panty hose trick and very few leaks if any.

There is one really good thing for me about this mask - I have had NOT swallowed air (I can't spell the correct term) since using this mask! I have no idea what is different! But that is a GREAT thing for me (and my hubby! )

Glad to hear you had a good night. Last night was much better for me too! Night 9 for me.

I tightened the lower straps and really used those two metal bands to adjust the pillows, and I got a pretty nice seal. I did have a couple small leaks throughout the night, but nothing like previous nights. I was on the machine for a full 8 hours last night and slept for most of that.

But I'm definitely going to order the pillows, and probably the cushion, in a size small as I really think that medium is a tiny bit too big for me. Hopefully the small will be a better fit and will reduce leakage even further. How I wish I had gone onto the Respironics site and used the sizing chart before I bought the medium and large set, but oh well. Live and learn.

I am doing better as well. I used the small cushion last night, and had a really good night of sleep. What I really like is that I have no red marks on my face when I wake up in the morning. Even where the cusihion touches my nose it left no marks. If I have more nights like last night, this may become my favorite mask. The lesson I have learned is not to give up. Keep on trying adjusting it and give it a couple of nights. I still can't use the Direct Seals though, because I still wake up feeling like my nose is on fire, but the cushion is ok.

I use the Swift and it is very comfortable. However, the nasal pillows on the Comfortlite2 just didn't fit me, and, as a result leaked. The cushions that are automatically included seemed to be pretty comfortable.
