Heated Hose Hookup Question

Post by Bonnie » Mon Apr 10, 2006 9:49 pm

I got my heated hose today, and haven't taken it our of the bag yet. If I take it to Radio Shack will they hook me up with the proper outlet? And do I need to bring in the machine? I have a ResmStar Auto, is the extra hole on the back of the machine where the heated hose outlet hooks up? I am such a dummy when it comes to these things. Thanks for your help.

Bonnie,

Yes, take your heated hose in with you (but not the machine). That will help them find the correct adapter size for the power cord. The power adapter I use is the 12 VDC, 1000 ma version (P/N 273-1776). It works great. The 12 VAC version is a little smaller though, if that's important to you.

They'll probably do it automatically, but make sure that they connect the adapter to the heated hose while in the store, just to make sure you have all the right stuff.

Regards,
Bill

The Radio Shack power adapter comes with one free plug. The Radio Shack Adaptaplug "M" (part number 273-1716) is the one that fits the Ausie hose.

And the only part of the hose that plugs into your machine is the hose part. None of the electricity.

Thanks everyone!! I'm off to Radio Shack this morning. I am so looking forward to not having to empty my hose in the middle of the night anymore.
