Diagnosed with sosa two months ago and having been using Swift Nasal Pillows/cpap with good success. Now after two months suddenly developed nose sores. I want to get ResMed Mirage Activa II Nasal Mask next week to use until the sores heal.
I tape mouth with 2-inch wide 3M micropore tape and this is necessary and works very well for me. I am concerned that the nasal mask will leak where it is touching the mouth tape. Anybody have experience with this?

I've used the Activa with tape over my mouth. No problem at all. In fact, have not had a problem with any mask I've used leaking where it touches the tape over upper lip area.
The Activa is very forgiving about where you place it -- virtually leakproof, no matter what. I've often said I think I could wear an Activa on my KNEE and still get good cpap treatment.

Rooster, I've heard nothing about a "Mirage Activa II" mask, I can find nothing on the ResMed web site, and a google search brings up only your post. Is this an "upgrade" to the original Activa?
