Encore Pro Software and the .Mac

Hi, I found out that the software isn't compatible with Macs, so I can't download it (website or no website!) - anyone else know something I don't? Mac users are such 2nd class citizens out here, and it's getting old!

Julie, I found this old thread discussing the Mac issue. It starts out discussing the SilverLining software for the PB machines, then goes to a question about Encore Pro for the Respironics machines. It doesn't sound too promising, but here's the link:

Anybody using Silverlining on a Macintosh?

Dog-gone I can't get it to work on my Commodore 64 either, and they sold many machines.

I think (haven't tried it myself) you could install Virtual PC, then load XP in the virtual then install the software you want in the virtual.

Encore Pro software and the Mac

Thanks for quick replies - I put in Virtual PC last year, but took it out pretty soon when it interfered with my so-good Mac experience (and getting back into the whole virus/antivirus thing was a nightmare I had been so glad to get away from with the Mac). I do have access to a couple of PC's, so will think about that route instead. Thanks a lot.

I am happily running the Encore Pro and MyEncore applications on my dual processor G5 using Virtual PC. I agree that it is sad to have to use Windows at all, which has always been a buggy, lame ripoff of the Mac OS, but at least we have the option to run both.
