MyEncore: Unable to access EncorePro Database

Post by sixthst3 » Fri Feb 10, 2006 7:30 pm

I am getting an error when trying to use MyEncore. Encore Pro seems to be working fine.

MyEncore Version 1.0.2x
EncorePro Version 1.5i

Error Message: Unable to access EncorePro Database. SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

I have a guess as to what the problem may be, but do not know how to address. When installing Encore Pro, I think I remember it asking for a Database Password, which I did setup. Since MyEncore doesn't come up, I have no idea where to tell it what the password is for the Database. I also can't find any setup on EncorePro to disable the Database Password.

Thanks for your help.

Sixth, what smart card reader are you using? If you purchased the one from Hong Kong, do NOT use the CD that comes with that reader.

Otherwise, perhaps these instructions will help. I believe you are using the wrong MyEncore with the Encore Pro 1.5i software.

1. Download and install the free Respironics software from the respironics site below. For a new installation use Encore Pro version 1.5i (this installs both the software and MSSQL server).

http://software.respironics.com/cgi-bin ... ge=[Encore]

2. Next you want to run the “setup.exe” driver file from “Sleepymans” website. You access it thru this forum and this is the page you will find it on: Just click on it and say SAVE OR RUN:

If you can't access the sleepyman setup, go to the bottom of this page (Note for #2).

3. Last, you download and install MyEncore Ver. 1.5b.7 from Derek’s site (via this forum):

Note for #2). If for some reason you get error messages, you can try downloading a different driver via the 2factors site. You will have to uninstall the other driver first. (Supposedly they are the same driver, but sometimes computer glitches happen). Again, do NOT use the CD that came with the reader, go to this site and use “installers for Encore Pro” at the bottom of the screen:

Thanks, this fixed my problem. I did not have the correct MyEncore 1.5x version for EncorePro 1.5i. Thanks for the link, things aren't too easy to find on here.
