Hours of use in Encore Pro and MyEncore do not add up
I noticed that the hours of use in MyEncore are twice of what is on the machine and in Encore Pro. Has anyone had this problem before?

I don't have that problem, George. Encore Pro, MyEncore and machine readings all agree. Sounds like your database is double counting somehow.george49 wrote:Has anyone had this problem before?
I have noticed small differences in apnea and hypopnea counts between Encore Pro and MyEncore, but nothing as large as 2 to 1.
Regards,
Bill
Encore Pro has my data from 11/30 to present but My Encore only has my data from 1/5 to present. I don't know what happened to the rest of it. I have tried everything and apparently for whatever reason, it is gone.
Also, my hours chart in My Encore only will go from 1/5 to 1/8, even when I change the preferences. Am I doing something wrong? Can't get data from any other days. Nothing is adding up.

I see glitches in the encore pro and myencore outputs at times too. I don't have the problems Linda has had on the graphs on myencore for the most part.
I have one day a week or so ago where my encore reports an absurd leak rate that encore pro doesn't (my encore has average over 100, but encore pro has 25), but then the next day encore pro has the data doubled. I have seen the doubling of data before on the pdf outputs.
It seems that no computer software version is ever in the "FINAL", no errors version. It is just part of what we have to accept with technological advances. We do have to use our heads on occasion and realize that the computer isn't the final word and we can see above it when we have to.

George, I'm going to really show my ignorance here, but what the hay.
Is it possible that the hours are doubled because you use a BI-pap? Maybe since you have 2 levels of therapy, maybe it doubles the hours to show usage of both.
Now, are all you computer geeks rolling on the floor laughing your butts off?
I told you a long time ago that I am computer illiterate.
Linda

you are doing fine linda -
had a talk with spouse this am (he is computer illiterate himself) about one of his friends who is even more computer illiterate but trained as an engineer - I spent 3 hours one day at his friends house trying to fix the "porn dialer" trojan and other spyware he had on his computer, update his windows and all
if you don't try to fix things yourself you find nothing gets fixed - we just have to accept sometimes that these blasted machines aren't gods and they have to bow down to us --

I guess a lot of software has it's problems. I guess there is data that does not always get in the right spots, since it does not seem to affect anything else i will just try and forget it.
Thanks all

How about that!
Well George, you're not alone now.
The MyEncore preferences page this morning tells me that I have about 1.8 times as many total hours as there are actual machine hours.
Hmm. . ., I may have a clue about what caused this. Last night, after I got up for a while about midnight, Encore Pro decided to report yesterday's data on a 21 hour chart rather than an 8 hour chart which would have corresponded with the actual sleep period.
I'd venture to guess that the database time of usage markers are ambiguous enough that the software can't always choose correctly. That's my guess since this common problem seems to affect both EncorePro and MyEncore.
So, George, have you seen any nearly 24 hour displays in your Encore Pro data?
Regards,
Bill

Thanks for you input. I have not noticed that so i went back and look in my Encore Pro and the hrs. are 381.57min and this matches up with my machine. And MyEncore shows 748.5 and i thank it has always been double from the beginning. Everything else between the two programs seem to be about the same except for today i notice that MyEncore said i had two more events than Encore Pro says. The Clock in Encore Pro is also set at 12PM.
Software Glitch i guess, i always get them. why me
