New YAIR’s Resolutions

Post by mikemoran » Thu Dec 22, 2005 9:55 am

In the interest of avoiding lawsuits and promoting domestic tranquility, I resolve to do the following in the coming New Year:

I will stop wearing my mask when greeting my daughter’s dates at the front door.

I will stop writing my DME’s phone number in restroom stalls with the following phrase “This place Blows”

I will not purposely adjust my mask to make embarrassing noises just as my wife is about to fall asleep.

I will stop using my CPAP as a makeshift bathtub Jacuzzi.

I will limit my humidifier Night Caps to one per night.

I will stop titrating the family pets.

When friends or family visit overnight I will not strap them into a CPAP, no matter how loud they snore.

I will only wear pantyhose as a mask support and not for how they make my legs look.

I will stop attaching Scrunchies to the walls in every room in the house as decorating accents.

I will store my mask collection in a drawer and dismantle the display I have put up in my living room.

I will remove the bumper sticker “Honk if you have been Hosed” from my car.

Hope you all have a Restful and Prosperous New Year

I'm not sure about restful and prosperous, Mike, but with you around it's sure to be humorous.

That one's a classic. I pity those who hadn't followed the great panty-manty hose debate!

Sounds like a plan.

Wonderful! Thanks for your humorous insights into our cpap lives. Whenever I get frustrated with my cpap, dme or whatever, I look for one of your posts. Always makes me smile - thanks!

Keep up your wonderful writing and wonderful insights to this board!

P.S. - my hubby always knows when I'm reading one of your posts and grabs a chair to read along!
