Scrunch the Walls
Scrunch the Walls
Scrunch the walls with hose of Aussie
Rain out leaks redness and swoosh marks too
Off to bed to turn and tossy
CPAP APAP XPAP named Shamu
Don we now our mask of torture
Comfort Lite Swift and NasalAir II
Pump our lungs so full of pressure
Watery eyes nasal drip and Ah Choo
Doing what the Docs have dreamed up for us
Sleep Labs DMEs titration too
Stifling our annoying snoring chorus
Mortgages Life savings all money blew
Breath we now in merry measure
Apnea AHI no turning blue
Hannibal Lechters at our leisure
Fava beans Chianti and a lamb or two
(Even better if you sing it LOL)

suggested melody?
funny guy!
I started singing this to the tune of "deck the halls"... seemed obvious.
Somewhere mid-chorus I found that parts of the "jingle bells" tune fit equally well, then (keeping strictly with the new lyrics) the melody drifted off into "god rest ye merry gentlemen", "home on the range", "yellow submarine", "God bless America", maybe a few others, and eventually back to "deck the halls". (pretty much my standard 5 AM shower repertoire). The words are quite versatile. Genius.
At only one point did my golden retriever so much as open one eyelid.
(that was a compliment.)
I'm gonna try this wearing a full face mask.

He who dies with the most masks wins.
Just thought I would share the inspiration for my twisted ditty. It comes from the old Pogo comic strip which had the following:
Deck the halls with Boston Charlie
Walla Walla Wash and Kalamazoo
Noras freezing on the trolley
Swaller dollar cauliflower alligaroo
Don't you know archaic barrels
Lillaby lullaby Louiseville Lou
Trolley Holly don't love Harold
Boola boola Pepsi Cola Hullabaloo
Now try and get that out of your head LOL

Walla Walla Wash and Kalamazoo
Noras freezing on the trolley
Swaller dollar cauliflower alligaroo
Don't you know archaic barrels
Lillaby lullaby Louiseville Lou
Trolley Holly don't love Harold
Boola boola Pepsi Cola Hullabaloo
Now try and get that out of your head LOL
not my normal, but this one's for Mikemoran..
the tune should be obvious....
Oh, I wish I had a call from the DME weiner,
He who holds my equipment from me.
Oh, I wish I had my APAP, mask and heater..
then a true hosehead I would be.

He who holds my equipment from me.

then a true hosehead I would be.

There's a copy of the original comic (words subtly different from what you posted, viz "Deck us all" vs. "Deck the halls") at http://www.moviepoopshoot.com/comics101/28.html
Here's the complete lyrics as I know them:
Deck us all with Boston Charlie,
Walla Walla, Wash., an' Kalamazoo!
Nora's freezin' on the trolley,
Swaller dollar cauliflower alley-garoo!
Don't we know archaic barrel
Lullaby Lilla Boy, Louisville Lou?
Trolley Molly don't love Harold,
Boola boola Pensacoola hullabaloo!
Bark us all bow-wows of folly,
Polly wolly cracker 'n' too-da-loo!
Donkey Bonny brays a carol,
Antelope Cantaloupe, 'lope with you!
Hunky Dory's pop is lolly gaggin' on the wagon,
Willy, folly go through!
Chollie's collie barks at Barrow,
Harum scarum five alarm bung-a-loo!
Dunk us all in bowls of barley,
Hinky dinky dink an' polly voo!
Chilly Filly's name is Chollie,
Chollie Filly's jolly chilly view halloo!
Bark us all bow-wows of folly,
Double-bubble, toyland trouble! Woof, woof, woof!
Tizzy seas on melon collie!
Dibble-dabble, scribble-scrabble! Goof, goof, goof!
Genius! Pure genius!

Mikemoran's posting are getting a little over done .... Yes, his viewpoints are interesting to read (once and awhile), but if he can't offer something constructive to offer this site other than his "less than humorous comments"... Maybe he should consider giving us a break. Gezzz Mike... give it a break...and find somethig else to do with your time...ok?
Masked,
Suprisingly I was thinking the same thing. It is time to take a break. I really like the interplay that has been going on lately and there are so many creative people contributing now I feel this is a good time.
Some people look forward to my daily posts but I can understand how some find them distracting. Like CPAP, what works for some doesn't for others, so goes humor.
I do offer constructive comments and will continue to do so.
So a break I will take, but will chime in with a few morsels if I can't control myself.
Thanks for expressing your opinion.

Masked Ranger, I think you'll find yourself in the minority here. If you don't want to read the humor, read the other threads instead. No one is forcing you to read everything written here; I myself often skip threads when the title indicates nothing of interest to me and something I'm unlikely to be able to contribute to.
As has been said before by other people: being able to laugh at and about our situation helps (some of) us get through it.
Maybe you are strong enough not to need a laugh to help cope, but I find it helps.
Mike, I look forward to your next humorous posting!

Please keep us laughing!
I'm pretty new to this forum, and to CPAP. I have to say, one of the things I MOST look forward to is the humor - from Mike or others on the forum. The CPAP is serious, and there are plenty of serious posts and advice given. However, without the laughs I've gotten, I'm not sure I could have hung in there. I was REALLY discouraged, and found this forum and all the helpful tips, and the humor - really helped me put things in perspective and keep at it.
So, thanks Mike and CG and HeidiHose, and all the rest that contribute humor - you really help me every day!
