Yet another Release of MyEncore for Encore Pro 1.5 (Beta 4)

Post by derek » Tue Nov 15, 2005 4:13 pm

I've just uploaded a new MyEncore Beta 4 for Encore Pro Ver 1.5

Download MyEncore for EncorePro Ver. 1.5 Beta 4

Again, I emphasize that this will not work with Encore Pro Ver. 1.4.xx

This version addresses issues with BiPAPs. It should handle the new Auto BiLevel devices, but I have some concerns that it might confuse EPAP and IPAP pressures on the BiPAP Pro 2 and other BiPAPs.

Also in this version I added two new buttons on the Daily Report page that allow you to go to the previous/next day's report without using the calendar date-picker. I think it is worthwhile.

Please let me know of any problems... (or successes)

Good luck,
Derek

Thanks in advance. I am getting the software tomorrow, and I didn't even KNOW there was a 1.5 ver. Is that the latest and greatest?

While you were posting this I was busy typing up a card reader question (above, different thread), in case you just might shed some light on USB smart card readers. THANKS Derek !

Even though I have 19 days worth of data, it is only showing the last 4 days (11/10/05 - 11/14/05). I have changed the dates on the main page but it keeps defaulting back to the 4 days. Is there anything I can do to see everyday?

I am using 1.5, beta 4

Thanks
Dave

Dave,
I might have goofed and saved a bad coy of the initialization file in the build. I'll take a look...
Have you tried setting the date ranges you want and then doing a "Save Preferences"?

the smart card will only save so many days (6 I think I read) of itemized data and the rest is just compliance - I am not the expert by any means but are you trying to go back before 6 days before you got your card reader dave?

Dave,
I replied to your PM, but the previous post raises a good point. I regularly save a week's data on the card, but not much more.

I think a clue is whether you see all the data in Encore Pro - if you can then you should see it in MyEncore.

I am still working on my check list.

Have not purchased xp yet - still latest 98 version.
Have reader from overseas.
Have dot net
waiting for $99 software.

Looking forwards to see just what really is going on.

Are you going to give up on 98? I hate the thought of giving Bill more of my money.

98 SE I think it was is a lot more stable than ME - and stupid me - I like ME better than XP or maybe it is because I learned my way around it and still have it on spouse's computer -

go with the times and buy a new PC and don't give bill all that money directly

I can see all the way back to 10/26/05 in Encore Pro. If it only goes back a week for details, I should still get 3 more days.

If I change the dates and click "save preferences", click on daily charts, and then back on preferences, it is defaulted back to 11/10/05 - 11/14/05.

Derek,

Just wanted to let you know, your upgrade went off without a hitch. Now, I don't have any new data to upload so I just clicked and opened it and it showed my oldest data, or should I say latest data from the end of October. But that AND the upgrade to Encore Pro 1.5.77 worked perfectly.

What are the new changes made, however, to your program? At first glance, I couldn't find any. Knowing you, I'm sure there are. Maybe I'll go back and read this entire thread and see if you already listed them. If so, forgive me and disregard.

Thanks for all you do, Derek, to help others with your ingenius program and your constant attention to keeping it up to date and for always being there to help everyone with any problems they may have related to your software and Encore Pro. You are a gem.

Lori,
The simple answer is:
1) Respironics changed the internal organization of the database in several places that meant the old version of MyEncore simply could not work with Encore Pro 1.5
2) They added the ability to add a password to the SQL SA account, or not use the SA account at all. The previous MyEncore assumed that the SA account had a blank password - which is the way Microsoft supplies it. I had to make MyEncore (hopefully) recognize whether or not it requires a password, and log on to SQL using the most secure method it can find. If necessary it will prompt you for the password when you first use the program. I hope that 99% of all users never even see this.
3) I had to rewrite quite a bit of code so as to handle the new Auto Bi-Level machines. These machines require more complex handling of pressure data because both the IPAP and EPAP pressures are being adjusted.
4) The only real increase in functionality was to add two buttons to the Daily Report page, to move simply to the next or previous day without having to use the drop-down calendar to select the date.

Do you shouldn't see too much different on the outside, but there is alot of new stuff going on underneath.

As I said earlier, ther is no real pressing need to upgrade to Encore Pro 1.5 unless you have one of the new machines.

Derek

Derek,

Thanks for the long reply. Wasn't necessary. I just like to be up to date on everything computers just "in case." So I upgraded both of these programs. I'm not using them at the moment, so it REALLY wasn't necesary. But, hey, you never know. But thanks again for caring enough to keep your software running for all those new machines. You are an angel.

OMG, Derek, with a smile like that and such a kind face, why don't you post your photo as your Avatar instead of your pup's? I saw your face and went, "AWWW!!!" You are as sweet looking as you are smart and generous. Share your smile with everyone.
